After all the BS, I THINK Lambert has taken the next step

I'm not a fan of Richt. I think our defense, giving the talent, is really under performing. The offense is Jekyll and Hyde. With all that said, I saw something in Lambert today that gives me hope for the rest of the season. I saw a guy in the 4th with emotion, composure, and the ability to make the down field throw that many (me included) didn't think he could. Again... I'm not saying he's gonna set records, or win every game with his arm for the remaining of the season... But I do feel more comfortable with him behind center for the remainder of the season.

He still had some under thrown balls when there was little pressure. But he played decent this week.

That's a good thing since there appears to be no other option.

Decent? He played outstanding for what he was asked to do. He started off slow but i was impressed watching him live

That last drive was pretty damn impressive.

I also liked when I saw him run to the huddle in the 4th and yell at everybody to presumably get their shite together. A lot of leadership shown tonight by Lambert imo.

If what you are saying is that this loss isn't on Lambert, I agree.

But I'm not ready to suck his big beautiful dick yet.

His inability to get a damn first down is why UGA is such a piss poor team right now. I saw a QB who STILL leave s a good pocket, falls apart the moment his first read isn't there, throws every 5th pass to his imaginary friend, and decided to throw the final pass to a double covered Mitchell rather than Jay Rome that was single covered and was obviously blowing by his defender as Lambert started his pass. LAmbert just has NO infield presence. He may know what he should be doing, but he can't do it when the bullets starts flying.

I agree... I thought giving the circumstances today, with what... 2-3 targets... He played solid. There were also some no call pass interferences not called in the 2nd half.

He completed less than half his passes and 80 of his yards came on the last series when they were in prevent.

I highly doubt he decided to throw to Mitchell on the last play. He was probably told to throw there no matter what happened. Pretty common to throw to your #1 on a final play like that. It was also kind of fade-like, which again, is a blind call.

There were at least 5 big dropped passes to receivers.

He dropped one. He could have had another TD catch had Lambert not made I'm wait for 5 seconds to get the ball when he was well beyond the defender.

The whole team played like arse, but just don't understand the defending of Lambert. He is a HORRIBLE QB. HE completed less than 50% when UT had 8-9 in the box. He simply won't throw a guy open. Unless a receiver has 5 feet on a defender, he just falls apart. He has crappy footwork and an average arm at best.

I saw maybe two that weren't on the QB. The rest were poor throws.

Apparently.

I will just have to readjust to watching UGA turn into the UF level of offensive ineptness from the past few years.

So that leaves about 5 bad passes by Lambert, a few good decisions to throw it away and 2 deflected at the line. He played decent, not great.

He also had throws the receiver had to adjust or wait on that had a chance of being picked. He has a lot of batted balls. All in all he had 15 complete passes. QB is our weakest link

Anyone else almost have a heart attack when he threw the jump ball to Malcolm?
