I'm on the "Richt needs to go" side of the argument, but if you think this is the lowest point of UGA football since 1929 you are either 9 year old or incredibly dumb. Did you watch the 2009 and 2010 seasons? Were you a fan in the 90s?

Yes...I have been a fan since 1971..... And as bad as we have been in those 34 years we have never tied a FCS school. I know you are going to say that Ga. Southern is a FBS school now but they are in their second year. The differences in Resources between them and UGA us like UGA and the Falcons. There is NOTHING positive about playing Ga Southern to a 4 quarter draw. Not any sort of sleight f GaSou....there should simply be no competition between e two.....

Our offense is ugly and hard to watch. Out OC needs to be fired. Horrible hire. But we still won. As a fan I will hope for positive changes but still take a W for what it is. Especially for our Seniors.

The 6-7 Georgia team would have probably beaten this Southern team more soundly.

Do you honestly think we are worse right now than some of the Goff teams of the 90s?

You don't really think that we're worse than the teams in 74, 77, 89, 90, 93, 94, 95, 96, etc. do you?

This team is bad, Richt probably needs to go. We are nowhere near our worse team since the 20s. It's possible to walk and chew gum at the same time, you should try it sometime.

Absolutely. The SEC east is total garbage this year. You had Spurrier's gators and Cutcliffs Volunteers, plus Tech was better.

People can't comprehend how bad we are right now because of how bloody awful our schedule has turned out to be. We are really bad.

We suck! I'm not debating that. I'm just saying if german actually thinks this is our low point since the 20s he is the dumbest person to ever post here.

We have not failed to beat another in state school in 60 minutes of football other than GT. Since 1929. This win is the lowest point in UGA football since 1929..

We just played Ga Southern to a 4 quarter draw. Seriously let that sink in. This ain't Florida or UT or Georgia Tech....it is Ga Southern. It is the sunbelt. When App State beat Michigan or Ga Southern beat Florida is there any doubt that those were the lowest points in those schools histories? The only difference is that a rule change that is only 20 or so years old made this something other than a tie.

Name a lower point in the last 86 years......

Im pretty sure wins and losses can be evaluated by degrees...with some wins being as bad as a loss...this win was better than a loss for the players...and for most fans...but im not sure this win isnt a loss for the program....imo of course

Tech was better?

May want to revisit their records in the early to mid 90s (with the obvious exception of 1990).

This is a shitty year for the SEC East, but in the 90s it was Tennessee, Florida and a bunch of shite.

Is it really that hard to look at the objective data and say that we aren't good at all (and Richt shouldn't be coach), but we aren't the worst team in UGA history since the 20's?

My position isn't that extreme. Yall are just letting emotion get in the way of cold hard facts.

Yes...and it ain't even close. We just played Ga Southern to a 60 minute tie...and they ain't even a great Ga Southern team. Ray Goff never played what is essentially a FCS school to a 60 minute tie.....not once....

We did lose to William and Mary in the last 89 years I think....that may have been a lower point....but this is right there with that......

...we seem lost

I never said that, but this team is as every bit as bad as the 6-7 team in 2010, but the schedule doesn't reflect it.

Since you're already backtracking I'll go ahead and point out that Colorado and Central Florida in 2010 were substantially worse than this Georgia Southern team.

As I've already said, I want a new coach. I think we are a bad team with a terrible offense. I just think people saying we are the worst UGA squad since the 20's are letting booze and emotion get the best of them.

That isn't on the win. That's on coaching and prep. That isn't on players and the win who despite what you want to say, earned it on the field.

Colorado yes... UCF won a BCS bowl the following year(s)... UGA LOST to both... What's your point?

When Hamilton was at Tech, he ate our fricking lunch. Those UGA teams at the end of the Goff/Donnan tenure are very similar to this team. It took 3 straight losses to Tech to get Donnan fired. What will Richts fate be when he loses to the injury ridden Tech team/ worse Tech team in 15 years?

Colorado has won a national title since we have at the FBS level. Central Florida has a bunch of wins against FBS opponents. Ga. Southern has beat UF, period.

And I never claimed this was the worst team since 1929. I said and stand by that this is lowest point in the programs history since 1929. We just played GSU to a regulation draw. We are only as good as Ga. Southern...and we were at home. I will guarantee you that a bunch of Florida fans will agree that their lowest point in history was losing to GSU. Michigan and App state is the same way....and we think losing to FBS. Colorado is the same????

I'll rephrase it.

The coaching sucked. That's on the coaches. Our players earned a win on the field despite the poor coaching. That, imo at least, deserved to be commended.

Ok....so thats basically what i said above.....good for the players....good for most fans.....maybe not a good indicator for the program
