You do know we play at UCLA in 2025, right?

There's a difference between playing in the building and playing in the game.

2nd person to say this

I could run with that

I do want the Rose Bowl though

so we swap out where Clemson beats ND in the Sugar on a last second field goal for you, bigdawg7780 & the many others that probably agree with y'all on that

the ND & USC scenario is the ONLY way we get the Rose Bowl this year that i can think of

Likewise. Clemson won the NC last season against Bama so they are the team to beat this season until someone else takes the crown. Clemson's defense looked very good against Auburn; just not sure how good Auburn's offense is.

Kirby would not make the call either

Deck would not be stacked against us, we'd own half the stadium

Would be a terrible decision to choose to play a west coast team in the Pacific Time Zone. You might as well give them 7 points.

And if UGA were to play USC, I highly doubt UGA travels well enough to own half the stadium. Not in USC's backyard.

The biggest reason UGA took over South Bend was because people had been planning that trip ever since the match-up was announced.

Far less people are going to make last minute plans to fly across the country during the holidays.

Unsure how they figure out this schedule. 1vs4 goes to one spot, 2vs3 another.

you may be right about that, but UGA would 100% sell their ticket allotment - IIRC is is roughly 30% in games like this?

UGA people would also fight hard to get their share of the SEC allotment

USC does not have the kind of fan support that we do - IF we make the actual title game, we will own 60% plus of Mercedes stadium

the Rose?

we'd likely have at least 35% & probably closer to over 40% of the crowd

talking about how much fun the trip would be more than what is best for UGA

Sugar is probably better insofar as our chances to win & get a larger % of crowd - that is not what this thread is about though...

I can promise you this, if UGA ever gets a Rose Bowl (postseason) - I will go

I also plan to go out there when we play UCLA

if we go along with ND & USC; I would bet anything that they do whatever they can to avoid rematches in the 1st round of games

I could be wrong; but I think that is how it would go down

Notre dame would have played both USC and UGA

exactly - which means they would try to match them against whomever the 4th team was, I THINK

what does not make sense?

that the selection committee will try to avoid setting up a regular season rematch in the 1st round of playoffs? that is what I am saying

if you disagree with that it's OK; but I am struggling to understand what does not make sense to you...
