Heard on radio today that Atlanta is the biggest home underdog in conference championship history. SF is very, very good, but that's a slap in the face from Vegas.

Good. They need a freaking mushroom stamp to the forehead to get focused... get a chip on your shoulder. get mad... IDGAF... just play focused and don't go limp in the second half.

Well, it's up to public perception to set the line now. Let's see where it goes up til game time.

Home undedogs are highly bet on in the NFL by those who know.

I doubt we get much love this week though after the way they played GB.

Falcons are good and glad to see them doing well but as a Niner fan since I was 9 and remembering the years when it was SF,ATL,NO,Rams(whatever city they were in at whatever time) Have to root for my team but if it wasnt SF in it Id def pull for the birds or any of the old "West" teams

The odds makers obviously see some matchups in SF favor. The Falcons bend but don't break defense will just take them so far. At some point you have to get stops to get your defense off the field.

I think the Falcons need to listen to Mike Golic. He was saying a minute ago that when Kaepernick runs the read, someone needs to hit him and hit him hard every time, whether he keeps the ball or not. It's obvious that none of Atl linebackers can run with Kaepernick...do they switch to a 4-2-5 with a third safety to get more speed on the field?

Spread is based on public perception more than the actual metrics. SF is far more of a public team than ATL and just knocked off the second most public team (to NE). They don't want to overexpose themselves by taking too many bets on SF hense the inflated line. If this line truly rises to 4.5 the professional gamblers' loot will pour in on the birds.

1st, SF is a very good team.

however, SF is getting more love than they deserve. Kaepernick, rushed over 60 yds 2 times in the reg season. Also, the only 2 times Kaepernick threw the ball 30 or more times, SF lost.

Also, Kaapernick rushed 16 times vs GB, which he only avg 6 rushes per game in the reg season. So I think he will rush less and be unable to repeat the same performance.

His last 4 games (including playoffs) his completion % were: 56%, 52%, 57% and 54%(GB). Having a strong arm doesn't mean much when you aren't that accurate. He also hasn't passed over 300yds, his avg in reg season and in playoff is 234 yds/gm.

So if Kaepernick throws for 250yds and rushes for 70 yds and only has 3 total tds. I think we can hold F. Gore to under 100 w/ a td at the most....so I think we will score more than 28pts, so hopefully Kaepernick doesn't live up to the hype, and comes back to his reg numbers.
