Love these hires from a recruiting point of view, especially Coley giving us a Florida connection.

How so? What prospects has he landed as a recruiter?

That doesn't speak to his recruiting acumen.

I asked specifically how he could be considered a homerun hire for recruiting? His coaching acumen seems solid but do we have any evidence that he is a good recruiter?

He's very well connected across the state. The head coach of Georgia Military College was an assistant under him at Carver for example, very well respected in GA especially in South GA, West GA, and Metro ATL

He didn't land any 5 stars at Georgia Southern if that's what you're getting at. However he is well known across the state by coaches and players plus he's recruiting RB's to UGA, not exactly a tough sell.

He was a father figure for many 15-18 year old's who grew up without one in the Columbus area. He knows how to relate to kids better than any NFL or College coach

If he sucked at recruiting, Kirby wouldnt have hired him. He recruited well at carver and at ga southern. Well known in state as a minority head coach.

Can a statement be racist if it is true?
