Have we talked about the fact that we jumped Bama for the #1 class on Rivas?

I guess sarcasm isn't understood, so I'll be direct.

Yes, there is a probability that a 3 star could be good but it's statistically less likely than a 4 star being good.

Therefore, I prefer 4 stars because there's a higher chance they hit than miss relative to 3 stars. Also, grass is green.

I agree with you overall, but as said, when you are razor thin at a position, you take the 3 star. If another 4 or 5 star pops up on your roster down the road, you process the 3 star when he's no longer needed (if he hasn't yet proved to be a diamond in the rough).

5* TE Arik Gillbert(sp?) from Marietta HS will be a huge priority for Dawgs in 2020.

Sure... but that was a given and Seither doesn't really do much to change that. There are other guys that likely get shifted down or off the board with Seither in Athens, but class separation may have some value there anyways...

The bigger issue is just numbers in 2020 class... unless there is massive attrition (which would generally be bad), it will be a pretty small class.

They jumped back to 1 after Sophser committed.

If we can get Pickens in school, and to stop committing unsportsmanlike penalties, he's going to be an absolute beast.

Did not. Dawgs still #1 on Rivals.

So, with Cross being an apparent no-go, are we through for 2019?

disagree. Seither didn't even start playing football until his junior year. Very good move TE who had almost no stats his junior year and exploded his senior year. Due to the two year history and little to no junior production, his was a late recognition of talent. His tape shows a great "move Tight End". Bama and UGA don't hand out scholly's just because. I'm not touting Seither as a world beater but he is probably closer to 4* talent and good enough to be a #2 TE for a really good team like UGA or Bama.

Hopefully you're right and I'm wrong. As I said. I'd love to be. The good news is we'll get the chance to find out one way or the other.

How does Pickens compare to Haselwood?

In terms of what?

Pickens is more physical with better hands IMO. Haselwood is a better route runner. Both use their bodies really well.

Getting Pickens (if he qualifies) significantly lessens the blow of losing Haselwood. We might even be getting the better WR, especially for our system where we run as often as we do. I know 247 says Haselwood weighs more than Pickens, but I don't see that when it comes to the way they play on the field (or look).

They woyldn't believe it's true if they hadn't personally experienced that shite themselves. The fbi wasn't frickinng around Auburn for shits and giggles because they had nothing better to do.

Kinda ironic Auburn players claiming Pickens was paid. Maybe someone should link them to Cam Newton's Wikipedia page.
