-7? Wow, haven't watched St. Mary's this year...they must be a really good basketball team.

Valpo has already beat FSU. We win tonight and we're going to their place. I was shocked at the spread...

Considered the best shooting team in NCAA this year. 28-5 overall record. Im completely dumbfounded in their rejection of an At Large bid sweeping Gonzaga.

A few notable results: beat Gonzaga twice (but lost to them in the WCC final), BYU once, demolished Bakersfield (tourney team), lost by 4 to Cal, beat Stanford by 17. They did lose to Pepperdine twice.

I haven't seen them this year, but in the past they have been a good offensive team that has great ball movement and good shot selection. Belmont has good 3pt shooters that'll jack them up from anywhere whether they're open or not. SMC will move the ball around until they find an open shot. Their motto a few years ago was "one extra pass".

They also have had one solid post player to go with their 3pt shooters. This is how they were built when they had Patty Mills and again when they had Dellavedova.

St. Mary's is really good, most efficient offensive team in the country. Play a very deliberate pace, don't turn the ball over and don't take bad shots. Not to mention it is a very tough place to play.

It's tiny but I've heard players say the crowd is right on top of you there so it's still loud when they get rocking. Fortunately the crowd noise isn't an issue tonight. The issue is we're giving up a lot of offensive boards so far.

I feel like there's something off about this rim. Yante can't get anything to go and it just sort of sounds weird.

Also the NIT is the official tournament of all small white private schools that only shoot 3s

unwraveling now. Down 10 and ogbeide has turned it over every time he has touched it lately, Yante can't hit anything, and shooters can't get open

Also seeing way too much Kessler

Also getting killed on the glass and leaving their feet on defense, forcing rotations to overplay and eventually leaving a shooter wide open. SMC's ball movement is outstanding.

bad first half but i dont think we will roll over. Had plenty of good looks down low, but couldnt hit them, that wont continue. Need more zone in the second half. JJ and Kenny will have to hit some 3's too.

If we don't come out of the gate firing on all cylinders, this thing will be over for good within 5 minutes. The biggest thing we could not afford to do was to not score points. St Marys isn't just going to start turning it over and bricking shots while we get things figured out

That little 8-0 run will probably do it.
