Exactly. It sucks, but you can't really be pissed when a kid makes that choice. Less than 1% of Division 1 (FCS and FBS) players will go on to make a 53 man roster in the NFL. A kid that chooses to attend a Duke or Stanford, or Tech if he wants to be an engineer, is a kid who has his priorities in order, imo. UGA is a very good school, one of the top public universities in the nation, but a degree from an institution like Duke will open doors for a student anywhere they want to go.

UGA pushing for Marcus Lewis, 4* CB from DC.
Former UF commit who was leaning to Michigan or Miami. Gotta think their struggles help UGA

I would not complain about getting him. What year is he?

Yeah, that's like when a kid picks Stanford. You can't touch an offer like that.
Agreed.

If everybody is agreeable, I'm going to put together a little summary tonight of the major remaining targets for UGA and where it seems like we stand. Just figure it will be helpful moving forward. As always, everyone is encouraged to discuss/contribute.

Wish McFadden would go ahead and pull the trigger.
I'm not completely giving up on Roundtree yet.

McFadden commits Oct 31
No way do we give up on Roundtree. I just don't think it's a given that he commits to UGA. I still think UGA is the favorite.

2 of my peers got degrees @ Duke, one an undergrad the other earned a graduate degree and did research for the school(has been in 3 car accidents in 2 months, all her fault).. neither are the brightest crayon in the box...go figure
Crow, was Ronnie Harrison a spy to get in Godwin's ear for our game with Tenn...? I know he's signed financials with Bama,,which isn't conclusive evidence he's going to school there but it's not helpful to us in any way if we are trying to recruit him....

Doubt it. An OOS kid who's already flipped on a previous commitment and is a position of need for the other school would be a pretty poor choice of spy, imo. I also don't think Godwin and Harrison really know each other, at least I haven't heard that
