Now let's see how long they take to ink Jake Long tomorrow. The D looked tiiired in that 2nd half after being on fire in the 1st. Let's hope we are healthy and working hard this week on some better Offensive playcalling..some teams are gonna double JJ and we need to get Offense from somewhere else.

The only thing that bothered me in this game is the offense went FULL MIKE SMITH with the lead. I got tired of seeing that shite for the last 6 years. When you have a fricking lead and you need one first down.....take some fricking chances.

I could only watch first half.

Where was Julio in the second half?

Where was Vic Beasley?

Beasley sucked.

Eagles LT is a stud though.

Julio made a big play or 2 in the second half.

Beasley didn't suck. He had a QB hit, 2 hurries, 3 tackles, and a very key batted down pass on a 3rd down that caused a punt at a very big moment. He was also going up against a probowl LT.

Our defense was incredible in the first half, but got worn down in the 2nd half because the offense turned the ball over and had to punt a couple times in a row.

The Eagles had a total of 63 yards rushing, and 59 of those yards came in the 2nd half. We held them to 4 rushing yards in the first half and Demarco Murray was held to a whopping 9 total rushing yards. We held the NFL rushing leader to 9 freaking yards and 1.1 ypc.

The defense had 9 QB hits, 4 hurries, 46 tackles, 7 TFL's, 2 ints, and only 3 missed tackles. That's about 1000% improvement over last year. Even though we didn't have any sacks, we were in the backfield all night. Kelly's offense just happens to live by the 2-step drop insta-pass game.

We're going to get sacks this year. Nobody else runs that type of offense that is throwing the ball within 1 second of the snap.

He got manhandled most of the game though. At this point he is nothing more than a situational pass rusher because most of the time he was getting pushed around like a wet noodle. This is the NFL and pro bowl LTs are part of the game but he has to get stronger if he wants to be a productive player.

Disagree, I thought he held his own.

LOL, you're talking out your arse. Beasley played 49 snaps last night. 14 of them were pass rushing, 34 were running plays, and 1 was pass coverage.

PFF graded him +0.2 on pass rush and -0.8 on run defense. Again, that's a rookie vs the starting probowl LT from last year and he had a +pass rush grade and didn't even reach a full digit in -run defense. That's stellar.

And probowl LT's don't grow on trees. There's a whopping 2 on our schedule this year.
