You're suggesting there will be a division winner worse than 9-7? I agree this team can win 9-10 games and the division but 9-7 will land the 4 seed at best and a difficult first round playoff game.

NFC East almost always produces a winner with a 9-7 record

Dallas won 11 or 12 last year but that division has put out some 9-7 winners.

The Falcons have to start out at least 2-2 this season. Those are four tough games out of the gate. Who the hell knows what the Eagles will be, NY is tough at home, Dallas was great last year and JJ Watt can win games by himself.

Basically all our running backs got hamstring issues

Hopefully this doesn't linger into the regular season

Definitely need Freeman and Coleman to heal up. On the plus side, Ryan looked razor sharp last night. The defense actually looked somewhat competent, although it was preseason vs Tennessee. Early returns on Beasley look like he was the right pick at 8.

See, this is why I hate pre-season. Going off how our first team defense looked against Tennessee I find it hard to see where we lose more than 5 games max. I can't find a 5th team that we would lose to, but there's an additional loss in there somewhere. DAMN YOU PRESEASON!

Game v Jets

Likely the bsckup QB will largely be decided in this one. I guess someone could win the job in game 4, but this performance will be huge fir Renfree and Yates.

How will Falcons O line look against a top D line?

Rise up bitches

I'm just expecting a whole lot of sucking this season. I'm an extremely pessimistic fan in regards to any Atlanta sports team, really.

Two Mercedes-Benz stadiums in the same NFL division? It looks like that might be the case.

According to Sports Business Daily, Mercedes-Benz has acquired the naming rights to the Atlanta Falcons' new stadium, which will open in 2017. Mercedes-Benz recently moved their corporate headquarters to Atlanta.

Benz will buy out of their "Super" Dome contract before it ends in 2021.

The Saints will play in the Duck Commander/Terducken Dome henceforth.

That was an easy, easy opening drive. That'll probably be all we see from Matt Ryan tonight. The first team offense has looked razor sharp so far in preseason.

How many years left on his contract? Any possibility of using him as trade bait?

At this point I doubt you could get anything higher than a 5th rounder for him. The division is very winnable this year, so it would probably be worth it to hang on to him and see what he has left in the tank.

I went to the Jets game, looked great while the starters were in there but the backups geesh.

The starting units have looked like a team good enough to make a playoff run this year. Matt Ryan has been razor sharp in both preseason games and the defense has (gasp) actually been good! 7-9 won the division last year, and this team should win at least 9 this year.
