How is TT not a 1st round talent?

Instead of a "normal" mock draft, I'm traveling well past what right now would be considered outside the box to pinpoint some unusual team-prospect pairs and to introduce some fresh names into the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Guess you didnt read that part

The outside the box approach isn't ranking the prospects but using a midseason team ranking to determine the teams draft order and projecting a high need for each team.

If the Giants don't pick 3 and another team is set for linebackers, then Roquan drops.

All he acknowledges is that there are a lot of moving parts and that even traditional mock drafts are way off.

Two issues will work against TT. His problem last winter, which kept him out of spring practice, and his injury this year that has prevented him from fully demonstrating that he is back to form and proceeding as expected of a first round pick. He still has some time, but right now probably not a first round pick, IMO.

His play in the field hasn't merited 1st round this season. He's commanding double teams, but about every defense has someone do that.

Thompson probably would fall in the top 5 DL off the board. Not top 1 or 2. And top 5 is off of last season's production and what he could do at the combine.

Comparatively speaking, Ledbetter has had similar success to Thompson while he is out there.
