That's cool, they seem to leave the state of Georgia way more often than other states

Going from Montezuma to Cali, that kid will be begging to come back after red shirting his first year.

Yeah, UGA does a horrible job at closing. Enough with hosting big recruits during the Gala in early December. We need to position ourselves for final visits so shite like this doesn't keep happening. Richt and Co. are a fricking shite show. We sell God, every other schools sells money and bitches. We go from #3 to hanging on to a possible top 10, which is good enough for 5th in the SEC. About where we stand overall.

I'm out, see y'all in the 2016 thread so we can melt again

I think targeting every "in state" player is very overrated.. we can't recruit every player from the state of Georgia and there are plenty out there that can and will contribute.

No, but losing a top in state target is not a good thing no matter how you slice it. Have to lock up the in-state guys, especially the ones we were trying so hard to get
Sometimes being "in-state" works against us. Like others have said, some kids just want to leave the state and having a better overall football program doesn't mean squat to them.

Yes, but you should be able to bring in the ones you really need, like Roquan. 90% you should have an edge, whether it be familiarity with the program, ins with HS coaches, etc.

we have signed Mr football from Florida and SC recently. There are a lot of things in play. If you honestly think that because a kid goes to HS in the state of GA that he is automatically UGAs to lose, then you really do not understand recruting. We don't lock up or put fences up around. We create relationships with HS coaches, recruit hard after the ones we feel like we want, and it all comes down to the whims of an 18 year old and/or his parents. To get overly emotional or to use these trite terms like "lock up" or "fence around" simply means you are spouting off shite you hear from other people who dont understand recruiting....
