No offense taken. I meant that
1) the run-heavy ball control offenses of yesteryear struggle in games in which they fall far behind, which can happen very easily when facing HUNH offenses.
2) So if you want to go that route, the team has to be virtually flawless or you're not winning a title.
3) the only coaches in the game right now who seem to be capable of building that type of team are Meyer and Saban.

Granted, it's damn hard to win a title no matter what offense you run so what the hell do I know? Haha

Okay thank you for that.

While you are correct in the HUNH has made it harder to hold leads. I contend a good ground offense will always beat a HUNH in that it demoralizes teams and then forces you to play perfect. You can say the same in reverse. I also think a running team will be better defensively as they want to be mean also.

Do you have to line in I or Flex, no. But I think 45% run with counter ISO and zone is perfect. The Single Wing which is en vogue can be altered see Baylor OU Bama and LSU . Michigan tOSU also do this.

Get RB coming and its on.

Football is starting to trend away from 55-60 passes I believe. Formation and offense is different, but most people don't get that, not insinuating anyone in thread.

Sorry if too long of post.
