Howdy?
Seriously?
Why?

You'll definitely get used to it. You'll hear it daily.

Yes. I'd say generally (Spurs the exception)
60% Dallas
30% Houston
5% New Orleans
5% Other

Idk, when I was on campus, it sure seemed like there were a ton more Mavs fans than Spurs

Yup. I remember my freshmen year trying to watch NBA playoffs at the commons and it just seemed that there was always more Mavs fans cheering than Spurs or Rockets fans. Oh how much I hated their North Texas smug pride. It didn't matter what Metroplex small suburb they were from, they were ALL smug.

That's how the rest of the country feels about Texas.

DFW, ftw.

Texans
Rockets
Astros/Cardinals (lived in the midwest for a while)
Stars (til something not-DFW comes along)
Dynamo

Dallas Mavericks
Dallas Cowboys
Texas Rangers
Dallas Stars
FC Dallas

I mostly grew up in Tyler and have always followed teams closest to me since those were the ones my parents were most likely to take me to.

That pretty much made me a fan of the Metroplex based pro teams. If I am following another team its usually b/c DFW doesn't have one, I like a specific player, or friends/family took me to a game when I was young. When the player/team moves on or if DFW gets a team though I stop following them. (ex Hartford Whalers, Charlotte Hornets, Houston Astros/Nolan Ryan years, Arena Football on/off when DFW has a team)

The 30,000 millionaires are not viewed like the rest of the country views Texas.
