As far as the NBA goes, don't forget about the Spurs. Spurs fandom is pretty broad in Texas. I personally loathe all things San Antonio, including Los Spurs, but I'll readily admit that they've been a dominant force for an extremely long time and that Popovich may be simultaneously the greatest and most boring living coach in any sport.

Greatness.

Cowboys are the team of Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.

The Cowboys are the reason San Antonio, the second largest city in the state, has no NFL franchise, while Green Bay, which is smaller than B/CS, does. San Antonio belongs to Jerry. That guy will probably kill people to keep SA from getting a football team. Right now, he has Dallas, Fort Worth, all the shite around it, San Antonio and 1,000,000 resident Travis County ALL completely in his pocket. The Cowboys get better ratings in San Antonio than they do in DALLAS! I lived there for three miserable years; it's *hardcore* Cowboys land.

I follow the Seahawks and the Mariners...but that's because I live in South Puget Sound.

The Rangers on the other hand have come up from the basement and taken over as the more popular Texas team. I never thought that I would see the day. Again, I give credit where it's due, but a lot goes to the Astros front office for their complete ineptitude.

Here's a fun fact: The Washington Senators/Texas Rangers have the longest run in Major League Baseball without ever winning a title (52 years).

I also disagree that Clowney's problem was just simply not giving 100%, 100% of the time. I watched him in wide screen HD just not give a shite at all for entire games. 0%, 100% of the time. Guy brought shame to the game.

Ah yes, the arm chair scout that is somehow seeing something that no one else in the game is.

Uhhhhh.... pretty much everyone who watched him play last year has had the same criticism. He clearly didn't want to be playing for y'all and instead of just taking a year off and working out (which would have been the right thing to do if he didn't have his heart in it) he just pretended to be a member of the South Carolina football team while having no passion for it at all. That's bullshite in my book - y'all should be pissed at him but instead y'all defend him.

I love the Cowboys. Always have.

BUT....

If San Antonio ever fielded a team, I would back them carte blanche in the blink of an eye.

The Cowgirls aren't even Dallas's team. There is no football team in Dallas. Just like the final four is hosted in "North Texas". There is no way in hell Arlington is home to America's team. The very same Arlington that is combined with Garlin to make the fictional small TX city of Arlin in King of the Hill.

They went from 1961 to 1995 without ever making the playoffs. That's 35 straight seasons!

Clowney is a beast, but even Spurrier wasn't above criticising his level of commitment this season. It is what it is.

When you moving to Texas? Have you got your boots, your buckle, and your "SECEDE" bumper sticker yet? God I love being a Texan.

You mean the story making machine that is ESPN? They created the Clowney monster with "The Hit" overexposure and the tried to destroy it. Now that the draft is approaching they are backing to sucking off Clowney. Why? It makes for better ratings I suppose.

Yeah he also did the same for Bruce Ellington and our 2nd string RB Brandon Wilds, but why doesn't anyone know about that?

And Jeffrey showed up his junior year fat as hell. Now he has broken a Bears franchise record and then broke that record again.

No. You're doing graduate work at Texas' oldest and largest public university. You're a Texan until you move back to SC. Howdy howdy howdy
