God, LSU fans would be shitting down our throats if we were in their spot. I know it's their site and all but holy shite this is one of the great rustles of our time

To be fair, Georgia could agree to move the Cocktail Party to the 22nd, but the SEC wouldn't want it to compete against A&M/Alabama for the CBS spot. That would enable the Florida/LSU game to be played on the 29th. However, that would also take away LSU's pre-Alabama bye.

Pick your poison here.

The neutral site thing is tough when you consider the travel. The storm really amped up in the last couple days and that's the type of thing you would have to plan last weekend. I totally understand UF not wanting to play in BR also

Not having a shared open date makes things really tough and the buyout thing doesn't seem like a legit option. Moving the UF-UGA game seems like the only thing that would really work honestly but UGA has to be accommodating. The logistics of it make the situation a hard one to solve

I completely agree as well as I understand Florida not wanting to move the game to BR but refusing to even consider the game anywhere else but Gainsville comes off as odd to me.

I wonder if there was a concern over safety for travel to a neutral site. That's the only thing I can think of

Of course I'm trolling.

I saw something on Facebook that I closed and I'm looking for it again. It said that the SEC had a new inclement weather insurance policy for just this occasion.

Assuming the Nov 19 date is doable it would pay both teams buyouts to the scrubs and I think it even covers lost revenue which would make LSU whole.

I know this ignores a very tough 4 game stretch for LSU, but if there is any shot for getting to Atlanta, LSU will have to suck it up. Your talent is there. It would be abhorant to LSU and the SEC if they dont' get to go because of winning percentages.

Back in 2013 A&M had to reschedule an early game and we lost our bye which led us to 12 straight weeks of games. Certainly not ideal, but it was done.

Your situation should you have the Nov 19 date won't be ideal but it's doable.

I think there is something to be said for the UF players families. I get the feeling the IF admin basically decided that if the hurricane got too bad, they'd just cancel the game and send them players home to their families.

We're talking about a football game here, which in the context is actually a very low priority when there is a cat four hurricane bearing down on the primary area most of your players are from.

I think the above poster is right about TSIO and the repercussions if Bama and Vols both win. Vols already have a game on Gators and SEC home office may be looking at Gator values in a few weeks after they play Dawgs and Hogs. If Gators go 1-1 or 0-2 it will not be a big effort for SEC to reschedule. If Gators win both then making sure they play LSU becomes more important.

Just going to point out that now would be a good time for someone that might want to remind everyone the LSU backed out of their contract with us after losing five in a row
