I think he starts Kyler and gives him a short leash

I also predict we run a true 2 qb offense against LSU........

Damn this board is dead. Not that I blame anyone. Its not like we have a lot of talk about.

The kool aid will be flowing if our offense is clicking again.

Say we win out and finish 9-3 (5-3). Do we claim this season to be a success? disappointment? met expectations?

I would say met expectations since that was what I predicted before the year. It will still feel a little disappointing though since I think the SECW is weaker than anticipated this year.

Met only in the sense of record, I said 7-5 or 9-3 depending on how the ball bounced. The total collapse and clown show our offense has become is inexcusible.

Pretty much this. The quality of the teams in the west don't quite match the pre-season hype, which allowed for a better season had a&m had a competent offense. There's no overlooking the fact that we failed mid-season once again with the qb situation, and found ourselves without a chance to win multiple games. second straight season we appear to be regressing as the season moves along.

All that said, you win this weekend against vandy, somehow pull off an lsu victory at night in Baton Rouge and proceed to win the bowl game...it could be looked at as a success. But I'm not holding my breath waiting for that particular outcome based on the results of this season so far.

It would have met my expectations prior to the season; however, the league is weaker than I thought it would be and the WAY we got there is just awful - offense is completely broken and insufferably badly organized/planned, the play-calling is atrocious, and the QB situation has been mishandled to the level of total incompetence. I'm disillusioned with Sumlin and not confident in our future.

Is it really though? Every single SECW team is going to a bowl again. Really the only two teams that fricked up were Arky and Ole Miss w/their losses to two of the best G5 schools in the nation.

Auburn is definitely worse than what I expected. LSU Bama and State are about what I expected. Ole Miss maybe a little better than expected. Arkansas is just fricking weird and I have no idea what to make of them, I thought they would be like 8-4 and it looks like they could do that, but their losses to Toledo and Tech are still bad. I don't care if Toledo is in the top 25. Overall I would say the quality of football in the SECW this year has been the worst since we joined the conference. Losing to a bad Auburn team is what really makes it disappointing for me even if we finish 9-3

Also not even being competitive in our three losses

Well, I predicted 15-0, so...

9-3 to me would be a huge success despite all the disappointments because it would mean A&M beat LSU. (Hoping for Ole Miss to embarrass them Saturday and LSU going into meltdown.) If somebody duct tapes Spavital to a radiator in the locker room it might actually happen.

Exactly.

We want them to beat Ole Miss though so we can catch them off guard for that game.

Double edged sword buddy

Ole miss is a huge game for them, many have said the players mindset is that it's a must win for them to help ensure Miles job. It's also a huge rivalry and very emotional. IF they lose the emotional letdown will be massive. But they will also be backed into a much greater corner for our game. IF they win the confidence and change in swagger for them will also be massive.

Yup, I mentally peaced-out after Ole Miss. This happens every year: I go in expecting a record (9-3 in this case), we lose some games, I lose all hope as if I expected us to be undefeated, and then we end up around what I predicted. The older I get the less I allow myself to care about what a bunch of college kids do on a football field every Saturday I guess.

As for this game, 28-17 Ags.

I'm in a hotel in Atlanta this weekend. The hotel does not get the SECN, but it does get a channel called "Russia Today". I am confused.

Hmmm, not much "game discussion." Oh well, I had to post this somewhere. Musburger is killing me with his BURR-toe-lay pronunciation of Taylor's name. Unfortunately, Taylor has been on the field a lot, so we've had to hear BURR-toe-lay a lot.

The TD to Reynolds is what I imagine Spav thinks every play is going to go like. As long as we get a perfect route, have perfect blocking, and the QB drops a complete dime, it'll be a TD!

ONE pass to the middle of the field in the first half

Finally, a pass over the middle. And what do you know a 3rd down conversion.
