Must be nice for the best player in basketball to get secretly banned for gambling and getting his dad ki... umm.. I mean decide to go play baseball.

Last I checked MJ was there the repeat season. He played great in the playoffs, but Orlando still beat them. Then Orlando got da broom from the Dream.

He had gambling debts with the wrong people and they whacked his father. Stern asked him to conjure up the baseball thing to cover up the gambling scandal and subsequent two year suspension he would serve for gambling on basketball.

That's how the story usually go, or some variation of it. I'm sure I'm leaving out some key details

I don't buy it. Its about as believable as the rumor that Tim Duncan is gay.

Rockets remain the only Texas NBA franchise capable of a repeat

Not that big of a problem since multiple active players have more championships than the Rockets franchise.

Yeah I was pretty certain Timmy had attained Lance Bass/Ricky Martin status at this point. He needs to retire so he can make it official

So you think he is gay? (Not that there's anything wrong with that. People have the right to fill their jizz jar any way they want. )

The political side of me is very interested in seeing how the South Texas Hispanic community takes the news that Duncan is gay (that is, if he even is). Hispanics may vote democratic, but a vast majority of them hold very conservative social values. The river walk may flood with the tears of conflicted emotions from Pancho, Jose & Paquita.

And honestly every time he's out you wonder why they play him when he's not. When you are a better team with JJ Berrea running the point....

See, I wasn't sold on the Rondo trade because he's an aging PG, but I didn't even consider the angle that he'd button heads with Rick Carlisle.

RC is a basketball genius. How foolish of Rajon

He's not the player he once was, but even then, I don't see the vision of how he fits. The Mavs run pick and pop and spacing. Rondo isn't quick enough to play Monta's role in the p/p and he can't hit a jump shot at all. And if you are an offensive liability, you better be lights out as a defender like Pat Beverley or something. Rondo's not.

Basically he gives the other team an extra guy to zone and kill the spacing thing the Mavs got going. The fit never made any sense to me. I think he can still be a positive player in the right offense but the Mavs ain't that offense.
