There are several Ls I've left on the table my friend.
But hey, make it about me if you want.
Just ignore that Roger has the world's worst Aggy sources, that he is blatantly ignoring all of college bball has become transfer city, or that he is being incredibly deceptive when he claims BK is running people off when in reality it's just guys who were upset they weren't starting and/or were guys who couldn't stop getting into trouble.
If you want to follow a guy who is almost always wrong and thinks it's cute to call a man who has Parkinson's "shakes" be my guest.

I wasn't siding with anyone, just noting the similarities (jabs at coaching misses). I enjoyed your Ls and smiled at his comment. Well before Roger's post I almost posted "Kennedy losing Antwann Jones" along with a link to the story and one of your Ls.
I sure wasn't following him, ignoring his "dirt on Sumlin" posts, or condoning the "shakes" comments. None of those even entered my mind when I read his "running players off" comment.

Yea but my shenanigans are cheeky and fun. His shenanigans are cruel and tragic.

No doubt many of his comments are cruel. I just didn't read anything cruel or deceptive into that comment. I just found it ironic it was you who reacted to Roger's post given I almost included one of your Ls in a similar post.

I don't know if next season will be Melvin bad but there's no way next season's team makes any tournament.

How bad is 2 Sweet 16s in three years?

When the year in between is no postseason whatsoever? Pretty bad.
When the year after the second sweet 16 has the potential to be worse than his first year? Horrible.

Somehow, without achieving any truly notable success, we managed to become too spoiled to enjoy perhaps the most successful 3 year run in school history.

I really think he could be an effective role player. He can D up, rebound, and plays with effort. It’s not like anyone wants to run their offense through back to the basket post players anymore.

It’s the aggy way.
But yes, expectations should be rock bottom for this next season. We’re not a top 50 basketball program, it should be expected that we need to reset sometimes. We had to when we lost 4 starters after the 2015-2016 season and ended up back in the Sweet Sixteen the next year. No reason to not trust BK at this point.

Pat - why do you troll this board? Tell you what...I've never heard you not sunshine pump BK... so please give us your list of negatives.
I'll give you my list of positives to start.
1. 2 Sweet 16's in 3 years.
2. Seems like a pretty good person.
3. Has hired some decent assistants.

Why do you assume I’m trolling? We’ve just experienced the best 3 years in A&M basketball history and everyone’s still like “yeah, but I bet we’re doing this in spite of, and not because of, our head coach.”
BK’s negatives:
-Our style of basketball is less exciting because there’s such an emphasis on defense (aka we’re not as aggressive on offense in order to be in better defensive position)
-He gives boring interviews

If our recruiting doesn't make a drastic turn for the better not only does this next year look tough but the next few years look very tough. Other SEC programs are improving and have made some very solid hires. BK needs to hire a dynamic recruiter and get things back on the right track or it won't matter how many sweet 16's he's made. This is the big issue - recruiting and we've not done well lately.

I think it's relevant when discussing just how tough we have it as A&M basketball fans. If you're going to handwave all the success away and just stew in the misery of our struggles, what's the point of even following the program?
