Even the 3 pick 6 year was competitive-ish otherwise lol

Sumlins day of reckoning has arrived. He wins today and he is likely staying. 2018 and 2019 national champions will look good with Sumlin as captain of tArk.

He is a master of 10-D chess and we all need to appreciate what he's building this year.

I really hope that at this point you’re just trying to troll. Otherwise it’s gonna be funny to watch the world come crashing down around your head when he gets fired either this year or next and you finally realize what we’ve seen since 59-0, he’s not a good coach.

The stars are aligning. We will at least be a major player for the West next year.

Son, you were the one that thought we were gaurenteed to be going 10-2 after being up on a shitty UCLA by 34, you need to learn how to not be so short sighted and take the big picture in. You’re young, but you’ll eventually learn. Enough Aggie football seasons will do that to you.

When we were up on UCLA by 34

Oh trust me, I've already learned. I'm like a drug addict and kool aid is my vice. Can't stay away.

We are developing young talent this year. Returning most of the team next year. How many other 9-3/8-4 teams will be able to say that?

Well I don’t have time to go through 120 or however many there are FBS team rosters, but I’d imagine a lot of them. That’s what every 8-4 9-3 team says for the next year. “We bring back at least half our roster and the new guys seem to really be doing well in practices, they’ll be big contributors next year and we can make a deep run” “ (insert freshman player’s name) really looks the part like he was ready to go right out of high school”

Sound familiar? Every 24/7 or texags offseason practice report I’ve ever read.

Everybody says it. Just because you have young players doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed to be better the next year. You have to develop them, and hope that they aren’t at the peak of their abilities/development as it is. Texas has been “young” for 3 years now and they still suck.

Again kid. Pump. The. Brakes.

You will be happier and live longer, I guarantee it.

You've called dub "son" and "kid" in your last two posts, he may be young but he is a grown man, are you trying to demean him? It's sort of coming across that way?

I used “kid” and “son” because of his 14 in his handle, I assume he is class of 14 and therefore younger than me. And 25-26 years old is still a young gun. He also shows his Aggie football youngness by drinking the enteral kooliad and setting himself up for failure with his blind optimism. Something a more seasoned watcher would know to avoid.

No demeaning intended, what a weird thing to read in to.

Not at all a weird thing to read into and it is demeaning. I've been attending games since I was old enough to wave a 12th man towel. I know the drill.

Football is fun. And I learned from September that being a mopey downer isn't fun.

That makes dub 26? 27? I'm over 20 years older than him and I wouldn't call him "kid unless I was 70+ , just my 2 cents. Dub is also a very active and good contributor to the AggyArk

I turn 26 in about 10 days. And thanks for the kind words Sarge

And yes, you are right about post September. An Aggie football team that's hot in November is a dangerous thing. We haven't seen it since 2012. And we saw it in 2010. Back when football was really really fun.

Fortunately not anywhere close to 70 for a long, long time. And truthfully not all that much older than dub.

Mostly just assuming on my part so I apologize for that. Met too many recent grads as of late that think A&M football only started in 2012 with Johnny Manziel (or more likely it’s when they started watching/paying attention to the program) and have bought way too much into the koolaide.

I’m just grouchy from all the shitty football we’ve played over the last few seasons and don’t see much hope to pull me out of it this season either unless massive changes are made. But I definitely don’t want to stifle an opposing opinion and go all North Korea on censorship.

I'm one of the Ags that actually wants to play Texas again. For no other reason than Thanksgiving feels wrong without it.

Most of us feel like this to some degree, hope for a new coach maybe?

That or sumlin gets to 9 or 10 wins, and we actually develop the talent over the off season.
