The fun part about this time of year is nobody knows a damn thing

Amen, which is what makes the mystery of the unknown the only thing that keeps the offseason going (unless youre Vandy).

Every year I buy into the hype and optimism and every year save '12. I was left wanting. So im putting my foot down this year and not letting you bastards get my hopes up. Prepare for the worst hope for the best mentality

Optimistically I could see 9-3, but 8-4 is where im thinking, and 7-5 wouldn't be completely out of the question to me.

That being said my entire view could change if these young kids come in and immediately contribute with little to no learning curve.

Sums up my view

I'd be more optimistic if your namesake was playing!

Remember, a bunch of the "kids" saw playing time and got game experience at the end of last year.

And tasted success in our bowl game

I always prefer to be ranked. For one thing, we want to eventually get to a point in our program where we are always ranked. If we have a chip on our shoulder, I want it to be because we're not ranked in the top 5. And I'm ready for that to begin now. But while I think we're one of the top 25 teams going into the season, based on who we have coming back and newcomers, including Chavis/Christensen, I can understand people being leery of expecting too much out of us.

I like the optimism but I just don't see it. I see losses to Bama, Auburn or LSU, and 1 "How the frick did we lose to them" game.

I don't know about the rest but we will beat LSU. The football gods demand to see that melt. Put it in the bank.
