Who gives a shite? He never came close to reaching his potential level and usually was a major reason for drives dying b/c of his constant penalties and drops.

That dude dropped a lot of easy catches. It's too bad he didn't reach his full potential while in college.

Wish him good luck in the NFL. I'm sure he'll get a shot based on his size alone

And then declares for the draft early lol

I saw that either Kiper or Mcshay had him higher on their receiver draft boards than Reynolds... Lol

This is just a weird deal. The only possible explanation I have is his family needs his UFA money.

It's really not. Same thing as when Trey Williams left. He saw the writing on the wall.

For Williams, he didn't want to play for a lame duck OC.

For Seals-Jones, he didn't want to play for a lame duck head coach.

Still doesn't make sense. I don't think anybody expects Sumlin to be fired before the end of the '17 season, when RSJ would have used up his eligibility anyway. I was a bit shocked when somebody else mentioned that his only TD pass this season was in this game, but it's true. For me he'll be lucky to land somewhere as a UFA. He could have done much better for himself (barring his dumbass penalties) if he came back.

Again... unless his family really needs the money.

Dorial Green-Beckham was a 2nd round pick after not playing football for a year.

Don't underestimate the value to NFL GM's of a 6'5 240+ lb receiver who runs a 4.5 40. He's actually a really good blocker that just refused to play tight end. When his salary depends on it, he'll play tight end.

Mike Evans' combine numbers made him the first WR drafted in 2014, not his college production.

Remember Eric Winston? We recruited him and told him that we thought his future was at offensive tackle. He wanted to play tight end so he went to Miami where they promised him he'd play tight end. One year later he plays tackle for the Hurricanes - the position he played in the NFL.

Mike Evans had 17 TDs and 2499 yards in 2 years.
RSJ had 10 TDs and 1442 yards in 4 years, or 9 TDs and 1358 yards in 3 years ignoring his medical redshirt year. They are in no way comparable.

Good luck to him in the combine. He'll need to knock the crap out of it to be drafted.

I was extremely close to his family when the team walked in last night. RSJ went and held his daughter and talked to his parents (guessing it was them).

If that was indeed his family, they are not in desperate need of that money.

RSJ gave this team and this school his all. Hope he finds success.

He historically has had problems keeping healthy. It was a pretty big risk for him to stay another year when he could get a decent draft based on measurables alone similar to Martellus Bennett

With the uncertainty at QB next year, I can understand why RSJ would be dubious about the likelihood of a breakout season. Probably the right time for him to go. His career here wasn't what I'd hoped it would be, but I wish him the best at the NFL.

You would have a point if RSJ would run a 4.5
