Expanding the stadium to over 100k was a mistake

the way our system has been developed by the 12MF w/the school's approval the last several years is going to cause quite a few former students to say frick it I'm not putting up with these assholes and this bullshite, I'll stay home and watch on TV.

I definitely don't like how we are handling things, but leadership can change. We have to live with that stadium for 30+ years.

Which game do you think we win if Allen was starting?

If he starts the entire year I think he is experienced enough to beat at least one of the two between Mizzou and LSU at season's end.

I also think they have a great shot at beating Miss State.

Hell, the entire issues w/WR drops may have never reared its ugly head b/c he throws a tighter spiral and is much more accurate than Kenny. Those mediocre throws had to start to wear on the WRs and likely got into their heads.

Meh, we are going to expand the stadium and sell the tickets. No doubt about that. Still should have focused more on having the most premium seating in all of football

TCU did that, and it hasn't worked out

Premium seating is literally how teams these days make money at their games

not really

crazy amounts of empty seats this year once the wheels fell off.

actual LSU and Mizzou attendances were embarrassing.

and contrary to what the 12MF has been saying publicly, the new suites aren't exactly setting the world on fire w/sales

I think he was referring to season ticket sales. We are good in that department, and even at the old kyle field capacity we wouldnt have filled it when the wheels fell off

I agree. Maybe 100K was the right number, maybe not. How we got there could have been better. The south end zone leaves a lot to be desired. It didn't have to be club, but it could have been better then all bleacher, no facade, semi copy of the zone look.

if that was true they wouldnt have been calling my fam a few weeks ago with an exciting opportunity to get one of the new suites. (completely forgetting that we just let ours go due to the death of my father and my dumb arse going into low paying video production instead of the family biz )

Yes. I misspoke. Going to 100k wasn't the issue. The issue is how we did it

I don't think A&M will have any trouble selling the suites. I think they'll just go down the line of donors.

I agree with that too but I think I've said as much. I wish we had gone to like 95-98k.

That's what I've eaid as well. 95k, expandable to around 100 for the big games

I disagree, I like that we haven't gone all premium. It keeps a blue collar aspect to our fanbase, and allows middle and lower class families to raise their kids as Aggies. A big stadium means cheap seats in down years, which is how we get non-former students hooked on the experience. Texans love live football when you don't Jerry Jones them to death to get it.

Meh let that be tu's game. I would rather have a healthy fanbase and young Aggies who can attend as kids.

The issue with 95k is that we go to 95k and we NEVER break 100k. Stadium expansion is over, that era is done. The sport might make more money going forward, but it will trade seat money for tv money.

At 100k we sit on the top for a LONG time. Maybe decades in the state if Patterson continues to burn all the bridges that would pay for a DKR expansion. Aggies love having pride about things outside of football, and I think having the biggest stadium in Texas for decades will make sure we are always focused on the stadium experience and not playing in China or some shite.

I like Thanksgiving now, but I hated it when it came back.

That does remind me of something I won't admit on the Rant: I fricking love that our Thanksgiving game keeps getting better ratings than tu's. Its petty, it means nothing, and it might be more LSU's doing than ours. But still to steal from them "their tradition, not A&M's" when they were such shits about it during realignment is awesome.
