Can't wait for Evans to run. I think he is quicker than most think.

yeah, agree he should impress. He played hurt so much that it's awful hard to see his real speed. He's got a real chance to solidify a top-10 spot with a good run

ETA: 4.50 flat

Yeah he has so much potential. He is just raw. Where ever he gies I hope they have a coach who is good at developing WRs.

Eta 4.50 ain't bad at all

As they do events, here are their profiles

Manziel
Evans

Apparently Evans already lifted this morning. Did 12 reps

12 reps don't sound to bad for a WR

It's pretty good. One less than Benjamin and Moncrief. I think Watkins had the highest with 16

Eta: check that. Cody Latimere (who?) had 23. Jordan Matthews actually had 21 which is surprising.

I love how 4.47 is considered pedestrian speed

the writeup is from before the combine so it's not based on the 4.47. Btw, he just had the most impressive catching drill. Announcers: "Rivaling Johnny Manziel for flair" as he was catching balls and throwing them behind his back while running full speed

yeah, I was actually surprised at only 12. He's such a beast. Plays so physical I expected him to do that easily.

Is the 4.47 the official time?

apparently they don't post official times til everyone has run. They've only had 1 group of WRs run so far. Not sure why the NFL site has it up if it isn't official though

Yeah I just find it laughable that they do those write ups without really knowing the player they are writing up.

well, to be fair, he's deceptively fast. He's so big and gangly that he looks slow.

I love this WR group this year. But if I'm an NFL GM, I don't know how I'd pass on Evans for any of them. He's going to be a superstar. More so than Manziel imo. But QB is a higher value position and Manziel will sell more merchandise.

Yeah I have been impressed with Jordan Mathews for a while. He's gonna be big time star in the NFL

One of the deepest WR drafts I can recall.

ETA: Can't stand them calling him Michael Evans for some reason.

That was the unofficial. They just released the officials and it was a 4.68

Yeah, that's a surprising time for Johnny.
Certainly his stealthy/evasive running style is his strongpoint; but it's crazy that his official time wasn't higher.
