In my opinion, it's actually pretty easy to assess this season. It's going great, even with a limited passer and a work-in-progress OL.
It's only hard to assess if you find it difficult to give praise to the team and staff.

I find it hilarious that some folks cannot give our OC any credit for our offensive success this year 
How many points per game are we averaging?
Dont we lead the sec in rushing?
Aren't we in the top 4 in passing?

Passing O - 42nd
Total O - 6th
Plays over 20 yards - 5th
Plays over 30 yards - 2nd
Plays over 40 yards - 2nd

The same Kenny Hill who damn near lost to Kansas w/the OC you flipped the frick out over A&M not hiring?
You could have easily said you were wrong about Mazzone but instead you'd rather dig deeper, give all credit to other coaches, and pretend his success w/Trevor Knight doesn't count and we'll have to wait until next year to know if he is any good.

The second half against Tennesee was horrible. We stalled out like in the UCLA game

He must mean second quarter. We scored a td in the 3rd and 4th and should have been 2 tds in the 4th except for the end zone fumble

After the TD to open the 2nd half, we went

With just a couple 1st downs over those 5 possessions.
Starting in the 2nd quarter, it was:
punt, punt, punt, punt, TD, INT, punt, punt, punt, punt
I think that is the cause of anxiety for some. Up and down performance for both sides of the ball.
