No, I mean lose. If they win, we are tied with them but since we have 2 wins over them, we win any tiebreak with them and UGA, leaving us as a 4 seed

Here's my take: per usual, everyone is losing their shite over one game because of the fashion in which it happened. How everyone can admit they didn't expect anything out of the team this year and then in the same breath say the team is underachieving because they didn't make the tournament (which we still might) is beyond me.
This is the step forward y'all were looking for. Yes blowing a lead sucks when shite's on the line, but if you take a step back and look at our season, we're on the right path.

When you pay a coach over $1.5 million per season, the expectation is to make the field of 68 within the first 3 years.
We're now in year four and likely the 4th straight year of not making the tournament.
That may be ok in a 1-bid league (Murray State is ranked but won't go dancing since they just lost in the OVC tournament) but not in a major conference or even a mid-major.

Not sure where you get either of these ideas. Kennedy is the 13th highest paid SEC coach in the 14 team SEC with a base of $1m and has been. Hell, $1.5m is how much Mike Anderson makes and he's 9th on the list (or 10th, depending on where Stallings is). $1.5m isn't really much these days but Kennedy isn't even there.
I'm not happy, but when y'all melt you should at least get your facts right. I can't find the link now but last year our basketball staff made less than all but like 3 Power Conference schools. So we're definitely not overpaying for results and honestly based on what we're actually paying, we should have zero expectations of making the field
