Does that mean that Sumlin is actively looking for a new job?

I don't doubt that his agent did a name-drop.

If Sumlin wanted to frick A&M over on the way out, this would be the way to do it though.

By absolving us of his buyout? I strongly disagree.

What do you think the impact on the non-early entrants would be in the 2017 class? That's why you don't make coaching moves after the Heisman presentation.

Who cares, we would get a new coach and save 10 million. You think the next coach won't have to rebuild anyways? Get real

This is what I hate about the wacky season. Last year it was "Sumlin trying to find a spot in the NFL" or similar nonsense, based on nothing but messageboard posts, many of which were repeated here in this otherwise sane forum. And now this. I'll be happy to see him go, but he doesn't (as far as I know) deserve to be treated like he's looking to bail out.

Regardless of the time and date of Sumlin's firing, a coaching search that extends beyond Houston or Dallas and a contract that is less than 5 years and NOT guaranteed.

Lol

A coach's best friend is a rumor he's looking to bail. Why do you think he has the insane contract he does?

It comes with the job. The head coach job placement machine is basically a bunch of pimps working to upgrade their bitches' Johns, while the bitches are telling their Johns that they'll never leave them. But make no mistake, all the bitches are looking to upgrade because pimping is business. Not to mention that bitches' hearts are fickle things. A bitch's heart can turn on a John just like that.

You seem to have a lot of familiarity with the pimping/whoring business. I don't get the analogy, but others will.

My main problem with this nonsense is it is a self-fulfilling prophecy. You hate the coach, so start an unfounded rumor, which pushes recruits away, which makes the hated coach's job tougher. I understand completely why 'sips would start this crap. Not so much Aggies.

This would be fantastic. A&M should chip in a couple of million dollars per year on Minnesota's behalf to sweeten the deal and encourage him to take it. It'd be cheaper than the buyout.

C'mon down, Chip-to-my-lou!!!

We're not lucky enough for this to come true though. God, I hate Kevin Sumlin.

You really think his offense will work in the SEC?

And Brent Venables??? Wasn't he the dude that told recruits we were a racist school??

Looking like they will end up with Fleck. Hell of a hire for them, and quite the challenge for fleck.

I wouldn't mind seeing Minnesota have some success. Maybe take over Wisconsin's role in the B1G, and switch it up a bit. Fleck is an odd duck, but his teams seem to feed off his intensity.
