Not really. They're chartered, it's not like they're sitting in IAH or ATL with a layover BS aside I don't have a problem with what LSU (or Florida) is doing, I just feel the SEC should have stepped in (and should again now) and force them to find a solution where they play the game. Completely canceling a conference game is ridiculous

I agree but anyone saying LSU doesn't want to play Florida or that LSU should have to be penalized with giving up a home game is just trolling.

I get all this.

Actually my post was about hotel rooms and hotel prices IF the game is moved back. Just trying to alert those of you that are going or that might go that rooms are normal priced right now.

I really just suggested book a room that Friday and/or Saturday just in case. Cancel if it doesn't move back... doesn't cost anything to cancel. The other option is to completely disregard any possible potential of it moving and pay $280 night for Super 8 when hotels get word.

I made my move.

It's a brilliant play and those they get their rooms early will save themselves a ton of money if it's moved

I prefer playing on Thanksgiving , but I might get to go if the game is moved, so I'm good either way I guess

I just don't see it happening. Look at our schedule online, the LSU game is the only one with a set time for a reason. To move it isn't just screwing up some planning for some Aggies, it is undoing a planned event the most powerful media conglomerate in sports has for a big holiday. If player safety trumped ESPN's wishes we wouldn't have things like Thursday games to begin with.

Hell ESPN took away our Thanksgiving game going forward because LSU wouldn't let it be that way every year. THAT is how much it matters for ESPN to have a game on the schedule they can count on for Thanksgiving. I wouldn't bet a single dime of my money it gets moved.

Due to a weak AD LSU is going to be fricked. And it will be a great melt with tons of bitching about the SEC office and "We need to go to the Big 12" threads and a good chunk of us will get banned getting in the middle of all of that to gloat. That is all that will happen.

I'll be pissed if it's moved but it's for a completely selfish reason.

The fiance went to Colorado so we have set up our Thanksgiving to start w/going to the A&M/LSU game and then we'll fly up to Denver/drive to Boulder that Friday so we can go to the Utah/Colorado game on Saturday.

The player safety aspect is playing on the road for those 3 straight weeks, including the short week. The addition of travel would mean less rest, etc. for the players.

Not saying it's REAL REASON but that is the BS EXCUSE behind it

Bump:

During Sumlin Radio show last night, he said the game isn't moving, but indicated that some parties wanted it moved.

LINK

It was around the 26 min mark.

Will it be difficult to find tickets for this game? Idk why but I was under the impression this wasn't generally a sell-out game for y'all. My folks are coming visit for Thanksgiving, and though I am technically on call, I think I can convince my boss to let me bend the rules to make the game with it being a holiday and all. Would be 4 tickets together

Glad we didn't cave. Shows that the new AD doesn't give favors to personal favorites like the old one did. Maybe he will stick around.

I don't know any inside baseball on that but it sure feels like Hyman signed his pink slip the moment he didn't turned on TCU like we expected him to. We demand loyalty more than we demand competency.
