The matchup ought to be a good one, but I'm still more interested in how they figure the schedule out. The fact that we've played Georgia and Kentucky just once in our decade+ in the SEC is lame. Why bother being in a conference with other schools if you arent going to play them regularly every couple of years at least? So I hope they figure out how to make it all work with 8 or 9 conference games.

I'm going to be so god damn pissed if the sips stole our home game vs UGA.

We don't have Bama, UGA, or Oklahoma in 24. If we don't have a good year, that is on Fisher. You won't get a more favorable schedule for awhile

We also have Texas and LSU at Kyle

I think it's a foregone conclusion that you will have a home-and-home with every team in conference over a 4 year period. Remaining questions are:

9 SEC games w/ 3 permanent opponents
VS
8 SEC games w/ 1 permanent opponent

AABB schedule, like the old Big 12, where your rotating opponents change every 2 years
VS
ABAB schedule where your rotating opponents change every year

Our home game? Let them have it. We aren't ready for that type of competition anyways. And neither are they. I would much rather them get a murderer's row and get humbled than walk their way through the SEC with Mizzou, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Vandy.

If Fisher cannot win with the 2024 schedule and the #1 class as Juniors, then he isn't ever going to win. Fire him if anything less than 10 wins that year ...

We won the ‘24 schedule and if Fisher isn’t going to do jack shite with it, kiss him good bye.

So... just to be clear, y'all must be assuming we are winning at least 9 regular season games this season b/c just a month or so ago y'all seemed to all agree that 8 or less gets Jimbo canned.

I’m with RC, y’all putting the cart in front of the horse, 2024 season is a long way off. He needs to win 9 minimum this year for me to still be on board with keeping him. And I’m not certain he can achieve that, something we shouldn’t be saying in year 6 of a top 5 paid coach….

This year’s schedule doesn’t appear to be too bad, it’s fairly manageable, he needs to win games now and then we can worry about the schedule with the two newcomers.

I think up to this point the 23 season has been pretty heavily discussed. With the release of the 24 schedule it seem fitting to bring that up as a current topic

EKG, I am curious. Are you barfing about PLAYING the 'sips again, or are you (like me) regurgitating at the try-hard/marketing foolishness of giving a name to rivalry games?

I have no faith in Fisher. I loathe the sips with every fiber of my being, which is funny because I grew up in Austin. I seriously may not watch football this fall and may be simply catching the scores for all SEC games late at night on my phone. Not really a good time to be an A&M fan.

Still cannot believe those jackoffs let the sips into the SEC.
