I just prefer the looks of chevy, and the dependability of them, my family has bought a lot of chevy made stuff (probably 20+) and never had issues with them.

If you were a ford family, you'd have only needed about half as many vehicles

My Grandfather's old truck is a mid 90s with 150k+ and still drives fine. Mom is finally looking to trade in her '03 Tahoe that has 202K on it. Our farm truck is an '04 1500 with 125K on it that hauls decent sized cattle trailers and is still going strong. And my '13 has 67K on it an only problem I've had so far is one of the passenger side door handles broke and needed an internal part to be replaced.

So ours last plenty long, thank you very much!

Listen up kids, he's dropping knowledge on yall. If you buy a Ford, you'll spend half your time calling a cab and eventually you'll stop buying from Ford.

I'm in my third Mazda. I had a Mazda3, Mazda6, and now a CX-5. The CX-5 doesn't get the mileage the cars did but It's because it's an SUV. I've been happy with them all. They're still made in Japan too. They don't make a truck though. They stopped that as soon as Ford sold their stake in it back in 2008. Anyway, that's my two cents worth on cars.

Texas direct auto is the shite. My family always buys used and we've all had great experiences there.

Texas Direct was the highest bidder when we sold our RX. We ended up getting Sewell in Dallas to match them on a trade-in, but Texas Direct still followed up trying to buy it. They were professional. I browsed their online listings while I was in there and they seemed reasonable (although the used car market isn't what it used to be - it hardly ever makes sense to buy a slightly used truck anymore as a new one will be CHEAPER, wheras you used to come out way ahead.)

Carmax was the lowest (lower than any dealership or used car buyer in the state!) offer by a country mile. Their offer was so low we laughed at the guy, and we're not even like that. We weren't in the market for a used car, but I looked at the prices they had and was blown away, in a bad way. I don't know how they are still in business. It seems to me like they rip off buyers AND sellers. Must just rely on the overwhelming majority of people being stupid. Any time I see a Carmax sticker I think "low IQ sucker".

I love my suburban

Will always have a soft spot for Toyotas, though. First car I ever bought was a $300 1991 Tercel. That's little penny ante car ran like a top

The Tercel! Man, lots of hijinks went down in old Tercels where I grew up. Lots of memories here. I think that was the universal car of.... necessity for brokeass kids who just wanted some freedom. They lasted a long, long time while being driven by absolute idiots (with the exception of you of course, I'm speaking of me and mine here haha). Those things were made in Japan by Japanese people... none of this Mexican factory, or worse, American made crap.
