We'll be doing a lot better if we beat Vandy & LSU the next 2 weekends.

What are you looking at? Keep thinking I want a new truck but it's always risky with an O&G job.

I have a buddy who had a brand new silverado, white, lifted, big rims and tires, everything; beautiful truck... His wife got a chevy volt and I bet she didn't have it 2 months before he got rid of his truck and got a volt as well. They love them, and he is like 6'5 270ish.

Both of their commutes are a little less than 20mi, but he was telling me how much they were actually spending on "fuel" per month and I couldn't believe it.

It's not for everyone, and I would probably still rather have the truck, but if you haven't looked at the volts, you should.

Negative, that's like saying people who bombed us at pearl harbor > Americans

Hate the gas mileage on my 2013 Silverado, they really improved it plus the interiors on the '14s and newer so I'd have a lot nicer truck if I had waited a year.

As far as vehicle type, I wouldn't be caught dead without a truck though, too useful for hauling stuff around or pulling trailers, and I only have a 1500.

The people who bombed us at Pearl Harbor are without a doubt better at making cars than us

Much, much better at making cars than we are.

Based on personal experience AND empirical data related to reliability and longevity, the only automobiles I will consider purchasing are Toyota or Lexus (luxury Toyota).

Once you've experienced the quality and reliability of Toyota, you'll never go back. It's like flying first class. Once you've done it, it's sooo hard to go back to being a peasant.

Government Motors. SMH. May as well buy a Yugo.

Toyota/Lexus is great. Honda/Acura isn't bad either but obviously not as nice

Honda is fantastic. They just won't ever make a consumer V8, so if you want a real truck you can't buy one from them. Acura got off in the weeds with some really bizarro designs. Their Honda engines are great though.

I like the new Acura MDX even though it's a straight mom mobile.

It's nothing like that. Toyota is just a damn near perfect run company and the product they put out is superior. My Tundra was built in Texas. Where was your truck built?

I don't know but F-150s have the most room inside so I didn't really have an option.

I would drive a Tundra though. Heard good things and they look great.

No. I love Toyota but the Tundra is hideous. The Titan is probably the only full sized truck that looks worse.

I would probably drive one of the new 4Runners though.

Honda wins ugliest truck.

I disagree about the Tundra. I really love the front end. Very aggressive looking.

I would most of the major trucks look good. Each has had some ugly ones, though.

This is one of my least favorites.

The pre 2014(?) Thundras were pretty bad too.

Haha, cool your jets. I just like poking fun of foreign made vehicles. Both my grandfathers would allow it in their households and that got passed down to my parents as well. Said they didn't serve in WWII just to go back as if nothing happened and start supporting businesses headquartered in countries that attacked us. It's just an old school way of thought, obviously very impractical in today's world as so much stuff is made overseas now.

If you look it up online Ford is the most "made in America" brand. But tundras rank in the top 10 too (as does chevy) with their plant in San Antonio. I just prefer the looks of chevy, and the dependability of them, my family has bought a lot of chevy made stuff (probably 20+) and never had issues with them.
