Maybe.
But a ton of folks don't get what they (think they) deserve.
*setting aside NCAA rules for a moment*
Maybe its relevant as to who got it for you, and why "a deal's a deal" is a phrase known even to school kids.
And for anyone who buys the grandma keeping the truth from him story: I have a gold TA for sale. I promise it was Dickerson's. Low mileage. Usually driven to take his grandma to church on Sunday.

Apparently ED finally "fessed up" to the old Trans Am story. It showed up in my feed and really hit me the wrong way.

Biggest issue I had was he said Sealy was in east Texas. Guess they don’t teach geography at SMU….

Hit me the same way. Demetric is entitled, bitter, and hypocritical (given his comments about Sonny Dykes leaving SMU for TCU):
"that shows a lot about the character of a person"
"that's just classless"
"That's the part that is really messed up" (in reference to Dykes departing for TCU even though he had agreed to a contract extension with SMU)
Guess it's OK for Demetric to back out of a deal, but classless for Dykes to do so.

I don't really care about him talking about the Trans Am and ragging on A&M, it was a long time ago and he is trying to sell books.
I do think it's kind of crappy though that he doesn't come clean on SMU though. It certainly makes you think if A&M was doing that for him there is no telling what all he got from SMU. I heard he got a Vette but my guess is he made some serious coin.
Whatever.

He did make a comment about the Vette he got at SMU, he said he sold the Trans AM to a friend because he got the Vette.
