And with a permanent 12 game regular season and a million bowl opportunities that now exists, it would translate to ~85 wins over 9 seasons. That's 9.5 wins/yr in today's landscape.

That barely reaches the 9 win floor and no coach not named Saban is gonna have a run like that in the modern SEC.
Urban at UF - 11 wins/yr
Les at LSU - 10 wins/yr
McElwain at UF - 9.5 wins/yr
Tuberville averaged 8.5 per year at Auburn, which is a fair approximation for A&M. He also had 5 SECW titles and finished ranked 6 times in 10 years.

What's your personal definition of a successfull coaching career at TAMU?
A coach that consistently puts a strong team on the field is where I would start. And Sumlin fails that without a doubt. I think realistic expectations for success over a 4-yr cycle would look like:
(1) 8-4
(2) 9-3
(1) 10-2/11-1
And then whatever for bowl games. Just finish ranked more often than not.
As long as Saban is at Alabama, I don't expect an SECW title. But as soon as he's gone, you have to expect a program with our resources to win 1 every 5 years (assuming Auburn gets 1/5, LSU gets 1/5, and Alabama gets 2/5)
