Mangino would have been a brilliant hire if we could have also grabbed vein-popping foul-mouthed Pelini at DC. A&M would be a headline every week. I think I'd have actually stopped caring about football success and watched for the pure entertainment.

Mangino would be the best thing Sumlin could do.... if it's available. You're looking at a man who took motherfricking KANSAS to big time bowls before getting run out of town because he has a bit of a foul mouthed temper. Since he left, Kansas has been an absolute joke of a program.

Mangino started out as an OL coach. He hasn't coached it in years obviously (since 99 at OU when Leach was OC). He was on Bill Snyder's staff for like 10 years before that although he had a weird title (Run Game Coordinator), he was essentially the OL coach.
He is slated to make 375k next year. It's really not unrealistic but I don't have any insight if he is an actual candidate
