Hey, I'm bringing a bloodsucking shyster with me to make it legal and all.

But I'm not telling myself or anybody else I have a deal until it's finalized.

If you don't have a signed contract, then you don't have a deal. It's really that simple. Until that point, you are merely in talks. If you have a verbal agreement, then request immediate signing of said contract. If other party refuses, then you don't have a deal.

I'm kind of interested to know what is exactly wrong with his statement?

Verbal contracts can be legally binding

But what is a verbal contract without proof? I wouldn't think word of mouth can be upheld in a court of law? Poet help me out or any other lawyer's.

Witnesses testifying to a verbal contract is a hearsay exception IIRC

Which could technically still get wiggled around with the right lawyer. I'm still not seeing how he was "%100" wrong.

All I can tell you is any time I bought a car or a house, got divorced, or agreed to take an adult kind of job, there was a man who wanted me to sign some papers.

That verbal agreement was great and all, but they seemed to want a little more. And they seemed to have those papers already printed out.

Maybe it's just that nobody really trusts me very much. Some of you bad Ags out there must be ruining my reputation.

You usually have to have corroborating proof. I once defended a 12 million dollar suit claiming an e-mail contract had formed to sell a multi million dollar company.

Some contracts must be in writing, such as a contract to sell property and in the case of a coach, a contract that can't be performed in less than a year. But saying it needs a "signed" contract isn't exactly on point - I know, I've already been down that road. A writing could be a napkin as far as the law is concerned.

Does anybody know exactly what Mazzone's blood clot deal is? I tried looking it up, but had no success. As far as I can tell he has the same genetic mutation I do. (Yes, I am in fact a mutant. But not the good kind.) The treatment is blood thinners, which pretty much prevents clots but makes car wrecks a kinda sorta bad deal.

Hey finest! At least we kept Sean! And a bunch of good players that hopefully will be drafted higher because they stayed! I love seeing young Aggies get drafted high.

No Endzone Mazzone.

Well, at least we'll snap the ball from under center and have goal line formations.

Not a 60 year old with serious health problems who has been fired or his contract allowed to expire nearly everywhere he has ever been.

UCLA fans are fricking laughing at us. They wanted him gone as bad as we wanted Spav gone. He wasn't going to be retained. He's predictable, unimaginative and doesn't recruit.

Garbage
