Yep. Taking the wife to her first ever college football game. Really wish it was at kyle but can't beat a Saturday of cfb followed by a week long cruise. Oh and I got the ultimate drink package. So if we lose I will be on a week long bender too. Lol.

Obvious we all want a win a bare minimum, but the question was what do we need to do to feel like a contender in the west. I won't feel very contenderish if we sneak out with a 41-40 wins. I think we need to see real change in how the D looks and at least some similarity in a high powered explosive offense that can run and pass.

Really if we have a halfway decent defense, we will contend for the west. I think if we are in the top 75 in Defense we see a 1 maybe two loss season. So for the first game I want a win and competent defense.

Top 75 may not cut it. We were 62nd/23rd(total/scoring) in 2012 with Johnny running the O. I expect this year's O to be good, but I don't think as good as our 2012 O. I really think top 50/30 is where we really need to be to compete. We need to hold teams down around 20-24 per game.

I really think our offense is going to be smoking this year. We were top 30 last year with a mid season meltdown and a switch to a true fish QB. For how disappointed we were in the season the offense did pretty well. (of course there are some games they did not produce well). But you give those guys a year to gel and a new running scheme and renewed focus on the oline. I think we will be surprised at what we see on o.

I seriously doubt the D will be able to hold ASU under 35 points. Their offense is no joke.

they just lost a jc transfer who was supposed to be starting, durant.
also I shelled out for tickets with the family so I'll be there as well. Would rather pay for this than the Arky game.
