Our last great linebacker was Johnny Holland, we've had some good ones since but Holland was a beast.

Coryatt was a great linebacker. Injuries did his NFL career in. But in college he was amazing

The last GREAT linebacker we've had, if you aren't counting Von, was Dat Nguyen. And I honestly don't know how there could be any disagreement.

Remember that guy Von Miller who won the Butkus Award (an award given to the top LB in the country)? Yea, I'm gonna have to disagree on your "good" assertion and say he was great.
Dat Nguyen won the Bednarik and Lombardi awards, and could probably be considered great too.

No love for Warrick Holdman.

I'd say Holdman was very good, but not great. Not on the level of his teammate Dat.

Only Von has been as good as Dat in A&M history.

My uncle in law coached dat in college. He was linebackers coach during the 98 championship. Has very fond memories of those days.

It's subjective and imo Holland was great, Dat was very good but not as good as Holland. It's my opinion and you don't have to agree.

Holland was great
John Roper was great.
Coryatt was great.
Marcus Buckley was very good
Dat was great.
Von was great, but more of a DE than LB. Same with DeMonster.

Which reminds me of the TexAgs dumbassery re The Hit. "It was Buckley"
It was Buckley.
The fricking Zoo.
It was Buckley.
quote:
Although credited by one Aggie fan on TexAgs.com message boards for "The Hit" on receiver Kyle McPherson in the 1991 game between the Aggies and Texas Christian University, the devastating blow was actually delivered by Buckley's contemporary, Quentin Coryatt. The Aggie fan who credited Buckley for "The Hit" refused to admit the mistake, despite many other TexAgs patrons providing conclusive evidence to the contrary.[3] The mistake, and the lengthy message board dispute that followed, has become a part of TexAgs lore,[4] to the extent that the caption "TexAgs. It was Buckley" was part of the winning product of a promotional TexAgs t-shirt design contest.[5]

It's like the old "is Tim Duncan" a C or a PF?" question

Without Alaka we got
A lack a

EDIT:
We'll still beat Alabama, though.
