No worries--Aggiebelle isn't really a drinker anyways. We're more "lets meet up at Cheddar's" type of folks.

Wasn't all fun, and I didn't have the toughest row to hoe by any stretch, but it wasn't all bad, either.

I'm hoping to get the boys to a game this year or next. Having a 5 year old in Kyle on a Saturday in September is not high on my list though.

Yeah that's rough. Something they might just remember in bits and pieces later on, but only maybe.

Switching subjects, I'm finally getting around to checking out True Detective

good friend of mine's wife graduated from Sam. She tells everyone she's an Ag. She also would probably fit in perfectly at that graduation. Very nice girl.

Maybe I missed it earlier in this thread or maybe it was in the general anti-bevel logo discussion but apparently the A&M board of regents voted to change the A&M seal, the one with the T and the star, to replace it with the A&M athletic logo.

Don't get me wrong, I like the A&M logo, but I don't blame for students being pissed about this. I'm not from here but the diploma looks so much more professional with the T-star logo. I know for most schools the academic and the athletic logos are usually the same but to put the athletic logo on the seal?

SC was fortunate. We have an athletic logo:

An academic logo, the tree and the gates portion are the logo displayed on the university building signage:

And a seal:

We HAD a perfectly good T-Star athletic logo, but they fricked that up and now they're fricking up the seal.

Since I'm not a student I don't really get a say, but as someone with eyes, the old seal looked much better.

I understand the move away from the T star as an athletics and branding logo, although I love it, but the seal isn't really used for branding.

I don't usually like the 'sip, but credit where it is due. He and Woody knocked it out of the park with that series.

Every once in a while I catch a phrase here that is worth copying for future use. This is one of those times.

Well, students and former students don't get a say, either, so join the club. Instead we rely on a bunch of doofuses who refer to us as "The Aggie Nation". Dipshits.

Other than stadium expansion (and give 'em credit, that was great), the BoR has given us (or tried to):
12 empty seats to memorialize the 12 killed at Bonfire. OK wait... you don't like that, that's not really what we meant. The 12 empty seats are symbolic of the 12th man. Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

Always been a fan of WH, but I've done a damn 180 on MM. Used to not be able to stand his arse, but I have to tip my cap, too--the man can flat out ACT

Dallas Buyer's Club, Interstellar, and now this True Detective series are incredible for me, and his acting is a huge reason why.

One of my favorite films.
