Pet peeves of mine: 9/11 conspiracy theorists, cyclists, militant atheists (I'm personally agnostic, for lack of a better term, I just can't stand the humorless crusade of the online super-athiests).
The one argument you will see me get 100% into on the OT is 9/11 conspiracy theories. They're just so DUMB, but their adherents, no matter how humiliated, just will not give it up. It has become a religion. The Church of 'Fire Can't Melt Steel'
I love them. They are the most hilarious conspiracy theorists out there. They usually follow up their false flag claims for 9/11 with Sandy Hook, something about Monsanto, and less commonly, Jews. All are good for a chuckle.

Anybody else noticed a drastic drop in quality of Mrs. Baird's bread? Seems like since the outfit out of Mexico took them over that things have gotten considerably worse the longer they own them.

Bimbo took over and has definitely made it worse. A Texas legend has died . Their cinnamon rolls weren't what they used to be (or maybe I grew out of my 'eat anything' young phase )
But IMO, bread and products produced by Bimbo USA are not as tasty as Bimbo snacks and bread produced in Mexico. There's a noticeable difference in the texture of all of its bread and taste. Maybe they consolidated their suppliers
The next product to become crap will probably be Borden Dairy products, which were bought by Mexico's Grupo LaLa. There's a noticeable difference in taste from their Mexican produced dairy and their Texas produced dairy. But I think that's probably the feed they use on the cows.

Quite frankly, I enjoy them. This world needs lunatics to think of the most craziest things.

cyclists
Yeah. these guys. Who thought it'd be a god idea to ride 20 mph on a 40 mph zone?! them and the pseudo gay skin tights they wear. Use the sidewalk and yield to pedestrians bitches! .
Days were I'm stuck behind a cyclists are the days I wish I had a diesel truck and I could leave a black plume of smoke as I pass them up.

militant atheists
Yeah, these guys too. I'm open to religious criticism and even ridicule, but I hate that they're so smug about their beliefs and how they have to call you 'stupid' every time you say 'well, maybe there is....'. They're self righteous assholes that have to remind you every time they speak that they're atheist. I support making fun of religion, but theres a time and place for that....and for whatever reason militant athiest don't know that and can never tone it down for the purpose of civil discussions. Regular atheist who make fun of religion but can have a civil conversation are cool.....but militant atheist? Yeah, those guys.

On the off chance one of you does this. Do any of you shave with a straight razor? I am effing tired of crappy disposable razor shaves. I need recommendations for razor strop brush soap / cream etc.
So an update on the shave issues I was facing. I have been shaving with a double edge or a straight razor for every shave since I made this post. I must say, shaving is actually enjoyable. I have gotten good enough with a straight to be able to use it daily as well if I want. If any of you are tired of irritated skin, and crappy shaves, I would highly recommend putting in the time to learn to shave with the old style razors that are available. It has made a huge difference in my skin and my mornings.

What cream do you use?

I am using soaps. Started with Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood. Just Finished a puck of Trumper's Coconut. both were great. Using an ooooolllllddddd puck of Colgate my dad gave me. Surprisingly it is performing very well. Think it is tallow based. I just ordered a puck of Haslinger lanolin and sheep milk soap. Will let you know how it is.
ETA Have not had a bad soap yet. Just have to learn how each one like to be lathered.

Whoop! (But you don't look like that anymore...)

Then follow the road signs! I've seen so many damn bicycle hipsters in Houston ride their bikes running stop signs, riding in between cars during traffic (this isn't California!) and not signaling a lane change. Hopefully Texas adopts speed limit minimums to stop you before you want to use highways!
You hipster bicycle nutjobs want to use the road, then respect the laws.
(Oh my lord! I sound like you! An lolold!!!! )

In the day, speed limit minimums would not have been an issue for Finest.
Posted on 3/31/15 at 3:17 pm to SafetySam
So 30 mph minimum to keep you old hipsters out of the road, correct???

Yessir!
I don't know how or why anybody ever took up cycling in Houston. I never would have. Then again, I don't know why anybody would live in Houston, either.
Pay no attention to SafetySam. I look exactly like that now, though pregnant.

It's relatively flat...so maybe because its easy? But then again, wouldn't a cyclist want prominent geographical features, like hills or mountains on their route? Who knows, you cycling people are weirdos, and I mean that in the nicest way possible.
But yeah...Houston sorta sucks with its out of state transplants taking over. Houston has lost its "Texas" feel.

Yeah they would, but it's more about "this is where I live so this is where I ride". Unfortunately for you, cities for some reason breed serious cyclists and they of course like to ride in big groups, making the problem much worse. I imagine the Houston scene is similar to Dallas. I went on a training ride there once with 150 "close friends" and those lunatics were... well, lunatics. I have no sympathy for folks who run through stop signs and red lights and clog up city roads.
