Yeah, I think you be fricked and gotta pay. But on a good note, once they ship you a diploma they can't take it back. They can however, prevent you from getting a copy of your transcript. Or so I hear

Sounds about right. Those weasel leaches at Transportation services were, for the most part, responsible for every empty diploma tube with a pink notice of outstanding infractions handed out on graduation day.
Those frickers were unforgiving both on and off the road!

Same policy, but don't pay full price. Always get on the website and dispute it.
I had a handful or tickets and always got a reduction. Tell some complete BS sob story. Or just come up with anything ridiculous. Its not like they're going to make you prove it.

Not even gonna lie...I put the Aggie Code of Honor to shame doing that several times.
All I know is that those tickets weren't my fault!

I know they must have issues with people paying because the damn thing says "If payment is received within 14 days of the issue date of the citation, you may reduce the amount due by $10."
Just paying it in a timely manner gets it reduced.

I believe you, even if the campus cops didn't.
During the centennial year in '76 the school came out with all sorts of stats, like "There is one parking space for every 3 students", so parking tickets were a big money maker. I heard rumors about diplomas vs. tickets and didn't push my luck - just paid them. It didn't stop me from having the "it turns out you didn't graduate, after all" nightmare, still!

I once got a ticket from transportation services WHILE I was working for them.
Talk about cold blooded.
(And no, my supervisor wouldn't take care of it

I remember that too. We had around 30,000 students in those days, and in one academic year the KK gave out something like 85,000 parking tickets to students.
Also remember getting a ticket for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Street had been two-way since A&M was founded, but they changed it over a Christmas break. Tried to talk my way out of it with Col. Parsons (former Corps Commandant and current ramrod of the KK). He had no sympathy for my situation.

The weirdest campus police ticket story I have is about a buddy of mine. His girlfriend came up to visit him for the weekend. We lived in the Commons (Krueger), and she parked in the driving range parking lot across the street. She got a ticket. Well of course she doesn't pay it because she isn't even an A&M student. A few weeks later my buddy gets an email that until ticket number xyz is paid, he will not receive his grades. It's her ticket! How in the frick did they figure that out? I read the email with my own eyes, and I was there when she got the ticket. Blew my mind.

She must have barrowed his parking pass. It's registered under his name.
