Is the yessir alert for Dan Moore? I figured we were going to look for a juco tackle or hold out for a last minute high profile guy.

What are your thoughts on recruiting this fine evening?

Maxpreps lists him at 6'5 223 for basketball. The first thing that jumped out at me was how big he looked, I honestly would have guessed maybe even a bit taller but it's always hard to tell from HUDL highlights.

IDK that he is quick twitch enough to play DE, but I also haven't seen that many batted balls in a HS'ers tape maybe ever.

I would think there are a ton of schools that recruit texas that could use a kid with his frame. Really surprised he doesn't have a 247 profile.

ESPN just decided to release an article about Dede Westbrook and his history of domestic abuse. This and the Joe Mixon stuff. Our program or Sumlin, depending on where you think the hatred lies, would have been skewered for this type of activity. It's amazing this isn't hurting, but possibly enabling their recruiting this cycle with the success of Westbrook and Mixon.

I have a lot of opinions on why A&M/Sumlin/JFF/etc were framed how they were and typed most of them and then deleted them.

OU should absolutely be skewered though, and hopefully the Mixon tape is enough of a story to shine a light on it. It has to be enough to generate clicks or it'll fade almost immediately.

Almost no one even remembers DGB choking out a chick and throwing her down the stairs (on top of it being said that wasn't a one time thing).

Even the baylor drama is already seemingly losing steam from a media perspective. Maybe it's just paused right now pending further development.

A little too tin foil hat for me.

The truth is college football fans (aka not the guys who root for a team but follow the whole sport) tend to favor blueblood teams, and ESPN is full of that type of fan.

Notre Dame or USC gets the same love, the same benefit of the doubt that Texas gets and we don't get. That is why this sport is a caste system.


On topic I hope we make what changes we are going to make to the staff (if any) during the dead period.
