i aint even mad. knew as soon as rob took the starter out that was spitting fire, our "closer" would blow it. hindsight or not, seen that happen way too many times to not be cynical. at least now we dont have to see the NCAA force (a fairly good) texas into a CS regional. just hope we get sent out west instead of lubbock

so it seems the consensus is that we'd have to win the SEC to host a regional. we could conceivably win 40+ games without doing that and still be a 2 seed somewhere. has that ever happened to a major conference team?

Somebody needs to tell Ole Miss fans they have to actually attend the game to give a home field advantage. I've never seen such crappy attendance in an SEC game.

UO & TTU were 2s in 2014 with 40 or more. UK is 2012. It's uncommon, but possible. To get to 40 it'll likely require a win or 2 in the SEC tourney. Crazy stuff is happening (see Aurburn's free fall, see the Big 12 with top 20 RPI teams near the bottom of the confetebce standings) so a regional host isn't completely out of the picture.
