I'm pretty sure he's the only coach who's ever played Arkansas at Reed

That's no worse than pat's stat that Sumlin is the only A&M coach to be ranked in the CFP top four.

How about this one - no A&M coach has ever lost to a team coached by MELVIN WATKINS at Reed...and only one has ever lost to a team with Melvin Watkins coaching on its bench period.

I honestly thought the entire board was going to be blinded by how shiny that hook was, but all it did was prove how rabid the melt has been around here lately.

There's no point in caring about Kennedy until Sumlin has been dealt with.

The combination of the fact that the donors who care about basketball only care about Kennedy's perfect attendance at church and his health and the fact that our fanbase is atrocious in terms of its support (or lack thereof) of the basketball team means that Kennedy will coach at A&M until he steps down or pulls a Melvin Watkins (0-18 in conference).

And, I dunno, the fact that he's fresh off the best basketball season in A&M history.

But hey, he's having a rough season while short handed, so frick em.

Will Billy Kennedy be the first A&M coach to lose to Melvin Watkins in Reed?

He's already the first A&M coach to lose to Melvin Watkins period.

He is the first coach to beat Arkansas at Reed Arena FWIW

Also the first to beat them twice in a row at Reed

Crazy enough, and you may not believe me here, but he then became the first to win three games in a row against them at Reed

He owes all of that to Stansbury. Without Stansbury, there's no House, no Jones, and no stellar recruiting class. Oh, and aside from all the recruiting trail help, his glorious 2016 team would have looked like they'd never received coaching in their lives, just like this 2017 one does.

But hey. Feel free to keep telling yourself that a guy who's made the NCAA Tournament 3x in 19 years is a great coach

At least we didn't have to hear this tired old line for several months. Glad to see ol' faithful is popping up again though.

So how do you guys feel about the game tonight? I realize that neither one of us has had success on the road against each other since you guys joined the league. I never have felt good about any road games in Mike's tenure.

Stansbury was important, but so were Keller and Avery Johnson. And Kennedy, too.

As long as you have Melvin you may never win at Reed.

sorry rockiee. Some of our posters are too upset to have conversations or be polite to guests.

We're playing horribly right now. We've got talent and y'all don't appear any great shakes either (shout out to WBS), so I'm not really sure. A lot of it depends on who shows up. We did play a pretty decent game last time out at home vs LSU but it's hard to tell because LSU is coached by Johnny Jones.

I see the line is Ags - 4.5 currently so that should give you an idea. Think there is a ton of variance in that though. If we play well, I think we'd blow y'all out of the gym. If we play sloppy, uninspired ball like so far in conference play, I expect us to lose ugly.
