One thing is certain, is that if recruiting keeps up at this pace of stupidity where 17 year olds are just trolling everyone and changing their minds every 10 minutes for attention I'm going to go old school and just wait until signing day and look at who actually faxes in a LOI instead of worrying about it.

It feels like this every year, that's why I try and stay out of it. I'll take a hard look after signing day.

It just feels like it has jumped the shark this year to me. In the past you may have had a kid or two that was playing everyone and you certainly had flips but nothing like this year where you have this big group of top guys that are radically changing their tunes from day to day in what is clearly a troll effort for attention. Twitter has made recruiting insane. I am just reaching my limit on how much I care about 17 year old kids that are intentionally screwing with fanbases. When a kid can put out a misspelled 4 word tweet and the world seems to stop to analyze it is just too much for me.

It seems like now the process for top guys goes like this. Get notoriety and then early offers. Go on some early visits and Jr Days. Make a commitment to a school. Start your Sr season and slowly leak out notes of discontent while saying things like "I'm 100% committed but I'm going to take some visits". Then engage in a de-commit/re-commit cycle all the way till signing day, going on visits and spreading misinformation all the time. I'm just reaching the point where I don't care anymore until I can know who is actually going to play for A&M. I'm glad Sumlin and our coaches can endure the immature and prima donna attitudes of these guys that they must endure because I couldn't.

If the rest of the world ignored recruiting I would too. But it determines important things, like preseason rankings.

Honestly the whole game is not how well you did in a vacuum. It is how well you do compared to others. If these guys were looking at Oregon or Michigan instead of tu I wouldn't care as much.

Not denying the importance of recruiting at all, it's the lifeblood of the program. I'm just saying my personal interest in watching the sausage getting made is dropping fast. Just let me know when it is over and I can look at the class and evaluate.

It's actually similar to the Tech game in 2002 for me when we lost an 18 point lead that led to OT after a missed XP and then lost in OT on another XP while sitting in Kyle for 4+ hours in 100 degree heat. I mean I realized I still love Aggie football but I decided at that point I wouldn't let it get to me personally so much where if something like that happened I was worked up about it for days. It's probably why I am still married.

Recruiting is the same thing, I want A&M to get these top kids and when you are talking about the son of one of my Top 3 All Time favorite Aggie players in Murray I care even more. It used to be that if a kid committed they almost certainly were really committed. You had a few flips but they were rare and usually were tied to some dramatic reason like a coaching change. This stuff now is just crazy. As it is now you truly have no idea where these kids are going until they send in their paperwork so let the guy that makes $5 mill a year worry about dealing with their teenage drama. I'll evaluate at the end when it's all said and done and stop spending months of distraction worrying about little signs that these kids are sending out to try to interpret if they mean something or not.

The timing is actually perfect then as Boyd now as Boyd is certain to change his mind again by tomorrow. The real issue is he will likely still change it a couple of times between tomorrow and NSD in spite of his announcement.

Holy crap, that makes me feel extremely old to realize that Chris Cole has a son entering the recruiting process.

Apparently everyone thinks Hill and Boyd are tu bound, including Looch. I hope it's just a major troll job so they can shock the world tomorrow.

Outside of maybe Lodge, I think this class is finished. Mack Truck has always gotten too excited about his last visit. He's too easily swayed. I think he's going to screw over his friends in Aggieland. It's a good class, not great, but good. Hope I'm wrong.

Better news: we actually have a decent-to-good shot at Roquan Smith. Michigan and UCLA pose more of a threat than UGA. Looch says if Smith doesn't commit on his official to UCLA this weekend, we have a good shot at getting his signature next Wednesday.

you know what to hell with all this bs. I'll be back here on NSD and not before. All this hey look at me bs is just to much to take. We are the ones to blame for it and the only way it will stop is to quit feeding the fricking machine. I am going to pretend it's the 80's and read about who decided to play for us in the damn paper after NSD.

A couple more additions to this class and we will be fine. We need to win 10+ games next year and I bet we have a fraction the drama.
