Btw, Long to start 1st game and Kent 2nd. We're using Simonds for long-relief as needed. My guess is if he's not needed he'll throw vs Rice (potentially with a pitch count) Tuesday and then go Sunday vs State.

Don't understand why the SS was not covering the bag on the dp ball...

that first inning just highlighted all of our weaknesses. Turn a routine fly into a triple. Hit a guy. Fail to turn an easy DP and give up a run. Long threw 22 pitches I think.

We are playing like shite. We gave them the first run and then we put ourself in a jam. We are running Long's pitch count up when he's already prone to throw too many pitches. We are lucky to only be down 0-1. We really need to get this runner on second in to tie it up. Runs are more crucial in a 7 inning game.

Both of Zach Brown's Ks have been not even close to strikes.

Hell of a play by 1B, but I don't think Birk was running 100% out of the box. Hard to tell, but I feel like someone with his speed, he should have been able to beat that out.

1-0 UK going to the B of the 3rd.

fantastic play there by their 1B to deny us a run. Just getting to that ball was great but actually getting an out was ridiculous

Btw, I like Brown's curveball. Not as much as the umpire, but it's a really nice pitch. He's throwing low 90s too.

I hate their ballpark.

The the mound in the visitor's pen expends onto the field.

Foul territory is huge in the infield.

They have a brick wall with no padding down the lines.

The fences are too short.

And it looks like there are ugly houses in RF foul territory.

Well at least the park isn't covered in ads like Box or Reckling.

Finally getting a few hits. Think we've decided not to wait because this ump is going to call that curveball a strike if it's anywhere close

damn this umpire is awful. At least we're starting to adjust though. He loves the inside corner and hates the outside. Long needs to be just riding that fastball inside
