Sorry to derail, but Bobo is criminally underrated. This is a classic example of the vocal idiots making the public think they speak for everyone. Bobo is one of the 2 best OCs we've had in school history and shattered records towards the end here.
Sorry to hijack. Back on topic....I agree with most of the sentiment in this thread that I couldnt' be happier with Pittman and think it's a grand slam as far as an OL hire could go. We haven't had great OL play in years.
Chaney is a doofus and I'm hoping he's a 1 or 2 year stopgap just to get us going and then we find someone else.

Oh we've bitches about Martinez, there was a rumor that Richt was looking to hire him in Miami and we were all crossing our fingers.

I never understood UGA fans' hatred of willie. He was a FANTASTIC DB coach for us from 01-04. When richt first got here in 01 it was neck and neck between WM and vangorder to be the DC, which obviously VG got in 01. Some people simply aren't meant to take the next step, and willie is one. Excellent position coach, lousy DC. But hey, that's alright.
Our fans wanna poor mouth him at every turn, and I agree his DC tenure was awful, but he was tremendous for us from 01-04.
Jancek, on teh other hand, I don't have anything positive to say about at all. Potentially the worst hire in richt's tenure, and I'm even including schottenheimer. They're probably neck and neck. At least schott was only here one year.

Rightly or wrongly I've always given credit to Kiffin for Crompton's turn around, which coach deserves more we ll never know but it always seemed like Kiffin to me

Bray was a freaking basket Case that Chaney kept eligible for 3 years...and he threw for 3,600 yards and 34 TDs in '12. He is the 4th leading passer in UT History (yards), and his '12 season is the 2nd best any UT QB has ever had.
I will add that, being the 4th all time leading passer at UT...all of the QBs ahead of him played 4 years, where he only played for 3.

This was the most telling thing for me. In the same season that they had to replace an 1800 yard rusher who's now battling cancer.
