KNOXVILLE -- Tennessee wide receiver Pig Howard has been dismissed from the football program for violating team rules, head coach Butch Jones announced at his press conference on Wednesday.
Howard led the Volunteers in receiving in 2013 and 2014, but he played in only two games this season.
After he served a one-game suspension, also for a violation of team rules dating back to the offseason, in the opener against Bowling Green, Howard played against Oklahoma and Western Carolina.
He suffered a concussion against the Catamounts and didn't play against Florida or Arkansas. He's also been slowed by ankle and elbow injuries, Jones said previously.

Not suprising. Guarantee you it's drug related. It's never been a secret on campus that he smokes weed a lot. He was always very open about it to everybody.

I think it's more than weed, but at this point who gives a shite? All we lost is a motion man and blocker.

I'm more worried about the fact that he is going to still be in Knoxville doing whatever it is that got him kicked off the team. It should end well.

I hope not, but I'm sure you're right. I'll never understand this anomie bullshite from athletes who hold their future in their hands. It takes some longer to learn than others.
