The rumor is flying around that Dormady is transferring. Why? JG.

This is how Travis Stephens described JG from what's been shown in practice:

JG. Is another level of talent

JG is Just as accurate as dormady. Stronger arm than bray, and faster than Dobbs.

So despite all the bad news on injuries. Future looks bright in at least on spot. Hopefully, Dormady stays but I can understand transferring if you know it's going to be JGs team next year.

I wouldn't blame Dormady one bit if he transferred at the end of the season.

By all accounts, JG, well

I have been kind of worried that QD may get the start next year just bc he's been in the system longer but I would love to see JG start next year... He's going to be legit from everything that people who watch practice are saying

If half of what the insiders see on the practice field is true about JG then he's very, very, special with the potential to be one of best QBs we've seen. A Manning/Newton etc. who does magical things for their teams. Dobbs is like that at times but he's never managed to be that way consistently but JG has better measurables. If he has it between the ears and is a gamer we may have finally gotten that special QB we've been looking for.

I'm going to just wait and see for this. Bray had a fricking cannon.

If Dormady stays CBJ will do everything to keep from naming a starter until opening day to avoid anyone transferring out but ultimately I think it will be JG who wins out.

I don't want to lose Sherion Jones, I'd rather Dormady go.

I doubt he is anything like Dobbs as a runner even if he is faster. He had like 500 yards rushing in all four of his years combined at 2.5 ypc. I'll have to see him throw in games to believe he has a better arm than Bray.

It all sounds amazing though, and I hope he is right. A Heisman level qb is an equalizer to everything.

Dobbs has tremendous strength as a runner.

Kind of silly to worry about because we have nothing but hype to back up JG. I've gotten burned by plenty of VQ practice reports like with Kongbo and Marlin Lane.

I just hope that whoever starts is given time to get experience before we start demanding the backup. I love what we have, but experience goes a long way.

A poster from 247 that is friends with his dad already addressed this a few days ago. QD isn't going anywhere, at least according to him.

This. Bray had the strongest arm I've ever seen on a Tennessee QB and that includes Peyton. Guarantano will win a damn heisman if he's got an arm like that and can run like Dobbs (which I'm skeptical of too)

After all the sunshine pumping that beat writers did this offseason, I'm just going to ignore what's written in the spring

Lol remember when Brent Hubbs said during training camp Lane was the best looking freshman running back since Jamal Lewis

I've tried to block all that out

One thing that does make me feel better, feels like it's been ages since our RBs were Lane and Devrin fricking Young

There was another one of about the same skill I can't think of right now

I hate to defend those goofballs at volquest but they weren't that far off imo. The Kongbo stuff was stupid but other than that, they weren't far off. All of them had VOLS at 10-2 or 11-1 which was reasonable and the former is still obtainable. They all said the weak link would be OL and DL would be the best position group on the team, both of which has been true imo. Injuries are unpredictable and I don't think anyone saw our running game sputtering like it has in spades since we only lost one starter on the line from last year

Yes, and it pissed me off after he played a few games. Dude was slow as hell.
