I would have called Striker out too and I would be surprised if Richt did but I wouldn't be disappointed.

It gets worse. Here's more of Striker saying "frick that shite, frick the SEC":

Really? Is that what you got out of that? I know you don't like any criticism about the Vols program coming from opposing fanbases, but Pinkel has nothing to do with Butchs' over reaction. I wasn't even the one to bring this up, one of your own did.

There is plenty to criticize.

Our coach being man enough to go face to face with that punk and tell him he is a piece of shite isn't one of them.

That's cool if that's the way you feel. No doubt Striker is a loud mouth pos punk, and it doesn't surprise me coming from a Sooner. Remember where I came from, so I know all too well their lack of class.

I would of said the same thing about Pinkel though if he mentioned it. It's as if he admits to being trolled, ya know? It should be beneath a head football coach of a high level college program is all I'm saying. They have much more important shite to deal with than this. I've defended Butch a few times on the Rant because he doesn't deserve half the shite slung at him.

Let me repeat myself again if I may. I totally understand how you guys feel over Strikers antics. I would be pissed as well if I was a part of Vol Nation.

I don't think Butch should've brought it up but I also don't feel it's a big deal either way. The scoreboard matters 100 times more

For whatever it's worth, when looking at the east, I'd feel more encouraged with how UT has played this season even with the OU game than I would as a Mizzou fan with our shitty wins.

Whatever. This is Missouri's MO (no pun intended). Come out early looking not so good, win the East anyway, beat Tennessee, s'all good.

While I'm pissed at the loss and think it's largely on the coaching staff I think you all need to get your shite together. Butch is still relatively young as a HC and is very well still learning. I definitely want to see some more aggressive play calling and hopefully this is the wake up call needed. I also think OU has one of the best passing games and one of the best defenses we'll play against this year. And with that in mind i think 9-3 is an extremely reasonable expectation for this year and will be another massive step in the right direction.

Quit acting like teenage girls (unless you actually are on in which case you get a pass) and realize that it was the second game of the season and was a well fought game against a team that beat us handily last year.

-Edit: if we have a similar fiasco against UF then I will become weary of the quality of this coaching staff.

I hear what you're saying and I'm not so much commenting on Butch or the staff and yes, it really is our MO and why we load up early with shite teams. Despite all that, OU is a quality opponent as much as I hate to say those words.

I know it's easier as an outsider because I'm not emotionally invested, but I took away a whole helluva lot more positives from that game when it comes to UT than I did negatives.

Like I said, take it for what it's worth (which ain't much) but I was still impressed with the team as a whole.

Don't get me wrong...I LOVE PINKEL.

However, time and time again he has played second halfs not to lose rather than to flat our win. Pinkel doesn't believe in running up the score, believes it's bad sportsmanship, and unfortunately today's football environment has passed up that old school mentality.

Pinkel has lost several games due to that thinking. I wish he would just abandon that old school approach and just keep the foot on the gas.

If he took that approach, Mizzou would probably have a national championship appearance/win by now.
