I see it being an extreme hire one way or the other... He is 10 years removed from coaching, hasn't ever been responsible for recruiting, etc etc... BUT... He's got a shite ton of cache/recognition and sometimes that's all it takes. If he lands a stellar first class and can figure out how to string together a good first couple of seasons, it's likely all that's needed...
Could easily be the start of something great or literally a giant train wreck... that to me is more exciting than any other hire that UT could make, so I'm for it.

It's hard to get a decent answer on the rant from non VOLS fans. I hope and pray we get him and it turns into the move that catapults VOLS back to elite juggernaut status.

Idk his background with college coaching in terms of recruiting or anything of that nature. So that's something to consider. But had LSU landed Gruden I'd have been hard as a fricking rock.

And for all your talk about bad internetting, you should know better than to try to elicit quality discussion on anything team specific on tRant. The only good discussions that happen there usually center on conference wide stuff, otherwise it's a non stop shitposting fest.
